Local kitchen $390K house

Here is what you get in a typical $390K house, locally. (A rehab in a transitioning neighborhood).

The houses are narrow, and I don't think the best solution is to squeeze a kitchen in half the width, squeeze an island in and put a slider to the patio/yard on the other half. I think thats under 8 feet wide. I have actually been in places where a conventional refrigerator door hits the island. This SXS at least wouldn't. I wonder if you can stand in front of the DW...

As for the thread asking about typical local finishes, this approximates it.
