In case you're wondering if I'm going to add any colour, I'm going to add pops all around with baskets of fruit, and fresh flowers from my mom's garden (she lives nearby and has tons of flowers, our garden's not in good shape yet.) I'm thinking purples, greens...

LOVE all your white pottery. I too registerd for white dinnerware when I got married (16 years ago) and still love it. Although we use Fiesta, in many many colors, on a daily basis. I love mixing up the white with the Fiesta though.

Actually I have stuff stashed all over both houses. I purchased some antique painted tiles from Spain...very cool. Then there's the four foot pile of lemons (ceramic, hand painted, really fab...somewere above LOL) and the only thing I can find a pic of...

Then we've also started collecting French copper. I love how pretty they are and can't wait to see them on the big range. I'll probably leave the stock pot out just for fun since it's so pretty :) We have the fun one with the leaves at the link below and a couple Mauivel (spelled wrong) pieces as well...I love the richness of copper!

Jodi, I love that spice rack!!! How long ago did you get it from Costco? The fruit bowl looks like sculpture and I like how it "blends" with your granite. For some reason, my green apple photo above isn't showing. =(

Jwm211 - I got them from a department store in Toronto called The Bay. It's the Antiquity line by Brian Gluckstein, a very popular Canadian designer.

Rm - I want to get a "sponge pig" to hold my sponge! What does the towel pig do - does he act as a weight for your dishtowels?? You've got me so curious. Thank you about the pottery. The three on the middle and right (roses, and the two stacked one) were an old Valentine's day present from my husband. He never believed in giving cut flowers so he would get me plants, and they used to hold red amarylis plants until the flowers got too heavy and fell over!! Here's a photo in our old kitchen (that was ugly but held great memories):

Igloo - that soda bottle is SO COOL. I want copper cookware but I don't think we can use them on our electric cooktop. Yes, copper has an unbeatable look to it.

You know what I want (what I really really want)??? These to-die-for teacups and saucers from this store called Liv by Au Lit in Toronto. The only problem is I wouldn't know which colour to get them in!! I like the pink, but the blue's really nice, but the white is so classic. The gold gilding on the edges is so nice.

Redroze, I got the spice rack about a year ago but saw them at Costco about a month ago. Love, love, love your future tea cups? I'd have a tough time choosing a color as well. Get two of each.

Redroze, sorry, Towel Pig was naked in that last picture, here he is dressed...

He gets a fresh towel daily for hand washing. I have an ORB hook on the wall for my other dishtowels. It's funny, I have birds and eggs all over the house, I even painted birds on a branch of my dining room wall the other day and I have a nest tattoo with 3 eggs on my upper arm (my name is Robin and I have 3 kids). But all my life I've loved and collected pigs and when I saw him here on GW, owned by another Robin oddly enough, I knew I must have him! I searched for weeks and then one day I walked into my local TJ Maxx and there he was! I was so excited!

I loved your story about the white pottery. How sweet of your DH to have bought you plants instead of cut flowers. My DH is like that, too. Or he would stop and pick me a bunch of lilies from the side of the road...not because he's cheap, but because he knew how much I loved them. Gotta love them menfolk!;o)

Rmlanza - he's such a noble looking pig, and adorable! I'm a bird (and animal) lover too. Growing up, my family and I hand-raised cockatiels as our "family" grew so big that my dad built a house for them in the basement. The mothers I guess didn't like the colder conditions down there so they wouldn't take care of their babies. So we took over, and it was one of the most emotional yet fulfilling times of my life. There's nothing like the expressions and scent of a little baby bird...I absolutely love your idea of having it as a resting spot for handwashing, and it makes so much more sense then just resting it on the counter or edge of sink (which I was planning on doing as I didn't know what else to do). Maybe I'll get a little ceramic bird (well big enough as towel pig) and put a towel on it!! Thank you so much for the great idea!

This is something else going in my kitchen - sorry for the terrible blurry photo. My best friend from grade 1 "borrowed it" from her mother's china cabinet and just gave it to me. It's a little glass chickadee with "bubbles" on the inside, very clear and sparkly in person. It reminds me of one of the truest and most genuine friendships I've had, although I didn't realize at the time how rare that was.

Cat Mom - with our new pendants in now, the granite is even sparklier! Once everything is in, I'll take a photo of it in the nighttime.
