Chrome, chrome, chrome!

I love chrome. It is limited nowadays in the stores. My neighbor who recently replaced her kitchen and bath did brushed because that is what she could find locally and confided that she wishes she did chrome so there are a few of us chrome lovers out there. Shiny and sparkly are for me. I also love yellow so am looking forward to seeing some elements of your kitchen in place. Post pics as soon as you can!

I mixed them.
My MBR has chrome faucets and chrome on the light fixtures. I was going to go with brushed stainless sinks, so I was looking at hardware to bring that out. I like the difference in textures.

It has just occurred to me that since I went with Kohler bisque sinks, I have no brushed in the room anymore. I can just go chrome if I want!

Anyone got any use for two, unused Kohler "Bolero" brushed stainless sinks? I'll let 'em go for cheap or a trade for beaded inset cabinetry. HAHAHAHAHAH

I have to agree with polished chrome since thats what is going in our new kitchen. Lots and lots of sparkle. :-)

I like brushed hardware, but not faucets as much. I have chrome main faucet and potfiller -- I wanted the clean sparkle and gleam at the sink in front of the window and against the tile splash and contrasting my honed marble. My prep sink is at the island with Cambrian Black granite and I didn't want that polished shine there, so the prep sink faucet is brushed. My pulls are brushed -- I liked that better against both the white and blue cabinets (especially the blue) but I like the polished too. So yes, at least some people do mix them.

MY DH loves brushed nickel so I respected his wishes for the faucet. We have an agreement that if one of us doesn't like what the other likes, we keep looking. We have similar tastes, but there's always some detail that one of us wants and the other doesn't. I think if I tried to sneak something by him, he'd be less enthusiastic about undertaking the next project.

Besides, may_flowers! You'd blow an equitable relationship.

I'm willing to bet right now, if one of you really, really loved something, the other would acquiesce.

Yes, dh really doesn't care much. If I knew it was something he really hated I certainly would do something different.

He handed over the project to me a year ago saying he trusts me and knows I have good taste, so that's that. : )

I think chrome is more traditional finish, in keeping with the shape of the faucet and the cup pulls. I vote chrome.

Are your stainless steel appliances going to be shiny? If not, then I'd use the brushed nickel pulls and keep the shiny/chrome faucets.

Shiny is nice, but it means you have to clean them more often, too. And you know DH will say...you wanted chrome :)
