Help! Stonegirl or other granite repair people

Hi,

I recently had Lapidus granite installed in a bathroom, including a tub deck extending into a shower bench. Now I was replacing a ceiling tile in the shower and I left the room for a few minutes and came back to find the tile on the floor along with a chunk of granite taken off the edge of the bench (see pic).

I called one place and they quoted $250 +/-. I haven't heard back from my granite people yet. I'm wondering if this is a job I could do myself?

I realize I would need polishing pads which I would most likely get from THK diamond because I had good experience with them (shipping to Canada).

My main question is with respect to the epoxy. Will any 2 part epoxy do? Or do I need something specially formulated for granite? I'm assuming epoxy dries clear in whih case I would mix in some of the fragments that I recovered from "the scene".

Is this something that I can handle or would I need years of experience? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan
