What do you know about Johnson hardwood flooring?
Comments (13)I purchased Johnson hand-scraped walnut flooring in 2012 from a local dealer. They installed it through the entire first floor living and kitchen area of my home and did a great job. The total cost was ~$28,000. The floors were beautiful. My wife and I were happy. Our selection of this product was based on a lot of research on websites like this one. Our final decision was based on reviews, perceived quality, and warranty. Price was a factor, but not as critical as the other factors mentioned since we planned to enjoy these floors for as long as we were around. Only my wife and I live in the home and I always remove my shoes when coming into the house and we keep the floors like furniture. About a year ago. I started noticing that the urethane finish on the ridges of the hand scraped finish were fading and dull. It has become very noticeable. I called the supplier and was glad to know I had a 35 year warranty and the issue with my floor would be backed by Johnson. Today, I received a response from Johnson stating that my problem was normal wear and tear and not covered under warranty. I thought I did my due diligence on the front end by selecting what I thought was a reputable manufacturer with a solid customer support network. Knowing what I know today, I would not recommend these floors if you need more than 4 years of service. My wife and I were really disappointed with the lack of support we were provided and I am only posting this to provide insight for others who may be considering a decision like the mistake we made by purchasing Johnson floors....See MoreWhite Marfin - Do you have it? Comments (15)Lori, I ordered my bathroom mirror from bellacor. It is really nice quality but when it arrive it had a tiny piece of the silvering knocked off the back of the glass, right at the edge of the frame. I called them and they offered to replace (paying for shipping) or they would take $100 off. I took a tiny piece of alum.foil and put it where the silver was gone and it's completely unnoticeable. In fact, I forgot about it until finding that link for your mirror. So...I think I would order the mirror, print out the page that says it's metal and when it arrives, if it's NOT metal and you hate it, let them know. I think their customer service is such that they will make it right for you. And if it IS metal, you'll have your mirror! ETA: here is an oval version for a similar price, same brand and it says nothing about wood, just orb: http://www.wayfair.com/Feiss-Johnson-Mirror-MU7627.html ETA2: Overstock carries it and says it's ORB, nothing about wood... http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Oil-Rubbed-Bronze-Decorative-Wall-Mirror/9658877/product.html#more...See MoreIs the quality of Kraus hardwood floors really that bad?
Comments (4)We bought about 600 sq. ft. of flooring based on first seeing a physical set of boards, then reviewing the swatch online and the example installation on their site. What was delivered however was so filled with blemishes, that 50% of the boards we unpacked contained such obvious visual defects that we refused to have it installed. Both the supplier, ProSource GTA West, and the Kraus representative refused to take the order back without a 15% restocking charge. What they advertise does not match what they deliver so don't use people or companies that don't stand behind their products....See Moredennisforman
