Wolf 36' gas range or lesser dual fuel?
Comments (2)Get the Wolf gas range. With the gas range you get the infrared broiler which will perform better than the electric broiler element in the dual-fuel. Also, you already have an electric oven with electric broil going into your wall. The dual-fuel, while slick, will be more costly and complicated to fix. To me, simpler is better when it comes to a range, and I would prefer to have the option of using a gas oven for baking anyway. There is no way I would turn down a Wolf just to get dual fuel in an inferior model, particularly when the chief "advantage" of the model is something you already have in the wall....See MoreWolf 36' Dual Fuel DF366 pricing - tips needed
Comments (28)I have the 36" Wolf Dual Fuel / 6 Burner LP, Electric oven and could not be happier with it. We have had it for 3 years with 0 Zero problems. I LOVE the oven. It is truly a beast! One Thanksgiving I cooked 2 20Lbs. Turkeys at the same time and it only took ~ 2 hours with convection and the internal temp probe. Unbelievable, but true. They were the most juicy Turkeys I have ever cooked, and the next day the self-cleaning function worked perfectly. We have the sealed gas burners, and I would not have it any other way after cooking / cleaning the stove for a while. I am experienced with the open burners as I was a prep-chef for a French Restaurant in an earlier life. The look of closed top burners is IMO so much nicer, very clean and upscale instead of 100% Commercial look like the open top burners. It cleans up easily and looks like new after each use. Cookies come out perfect, my wife is the baker in the family and has cooked several >6 Wedding cakes (yes multi-layered)and Loves the oven too. Does it show that we Love our Wolf? I hope so. When we move we will leave it with the house, and purchase a new one for our next home. Same 36" DF, it does take a while for the oven to come up to heat, but it's worth the wait. Comments (6)sanborn5 is indeed correct. I know PLENTY of people that either used a propane range top or your proposed configuration so its not unusual. Next, I do not have a DF but I do have the AG Wolf and it is fabulous. Wolf makes really good stuff. 5 years with no issues. I don't have a grill on this unit but will have in new house but we are going with Bluestar there...not b/c I am unhappy with Wolf, I just got advice here that changed my mind. Personally, I think the AG unit is more attractive than the DF. I like the original grate and oven door handle design better. So, do a search for Wolf dual fuel and happy reading!...See MoreWolf 36" dual fuel - oven door locked
Comments (1)Best to leave the breaker in the off position until your range is thoroughly checked out by a Wolf technician. If a thermal fuse has opened during such "normal operation" and not just during self cleaning there may be additional areas requiring attention....See Morecallieandkarin
