I know I often mention them, but you could ask Mission Stone & Tile (specifically Mary Elizabeth) if they can recommend someone. Tell her Karen told you to call and ask. I'd trust her recommendation, of course do check them out yourself, etc.

I would not be looking at price but focus on the work. How do they do edges? Seams? What is their reputation? You want good quality for your money. How will the mount your sink or cut around your sink? Will they stand by their work? Will they help you choose a good quality slab, otherwise you might have the counter cracking later. You do not want a fabircator who is going to scrimp, save, or cheap out. You don't want someone installing the wrong slab or something of poor quality. These are your counters. You want good quality at a fair price and someone who stands by their work. For me that is BFR. Here is an image of one of my seams. christine40, were you able to wander around yourself and see what worked for you? So nice that you found something you liked. I went to Great Lakes yesterday in Redford and I had to pick which ones I wanted to see in the showroom from the samples they had. The sales guy told me the samples were pretty much what they had. Then he called into the warehouse and had them pull out the 3 slabs I said I liked and took me back to see them. I was able to see the other slabs that were stacked in their bins as we walked over to see my choices, but didn't feel I could really walk around and see what struck me. I did ask about some of the other slabs we walked by and a few he named were not in the showroom. It wasn't really a positive experience. But it's my first trip out to a granite place, so I have more to go see and hopefully I'll have a better experience. I heard wonderful things about Mulherin Marble and Granite in O'Fallon MO (on N. Cool Springs Rd by TRHughes Ballpark). The BBB gave them A+ and I talked to others who were very pleased with their work. It is a family owned business and they have been in business for over 20 years.
