Here are a couple of kitchens with ivory cabinets and white appliances:

I'm sorry but I would have to say no on the white appliances. We have white appliances, too, and are going to keep them for a while until we can afford new ones. In your case, with the light colors, I think stainless would be the way to go. On the plus side, you can put the money you make off selling the old ones toward your new set.

I agree with Lisa_a, but also, when you say they work - how old are they? Do you think you'll have them for two more years or ten? I only ask because if you think they're going to be gone in two years I wouldn't choose a color based on how it goes with them since they may not be there for the long haul.

I had painted cream cabinets with white appliances trying to save $$ just like you. It look OK but it never had the wow factor.

I agree with everyone who is saying that it will never have a wow factor. I did not think about a "study in whites" when I was picking out the color of the woodwork, and I want the cabinets to go with that color. I am thinking that I will replace appliances in 3-5 years and probably with stainless. For now, the stove hood will be stainless, as will the sink, and an appliance garage. The walls are warm green with a set of shelves in a darker gray/green. Looking at the window moulding next to the stove, it might just work. (I will get a door and check it out) If it worked together, that white black splash is really cool.

Maybe you could paint your appliances. Rustoleum makes an appliance epoxy paint. The stainless steel color is # 7887. You should probably fined something to do a practice paint job on first. The appliance paint also comes in other colors too.

I agree with badgergal.

Changing out your DW panel should be easy with some type of shiny metal at the hardware store.

I put on $1 brushed nickel knobs (contractor pack) from HD. Pull would have a better effect but I had to work with the holes that were already there.

You might want to check out a refrigerator handle in one of the crazy long cabinet handles.

The backsplash can really help tie it all together.

While looking for another photo, I came across this pretty kitchen at Houzz and thought you might be interested:

I don't care for the look of white with off white unless it is the right off white (and fairly "off", like an almond color).
I'd rather do a pale green, blue or gray with the white. Then, the stainless would work as you swapped out.

I do like white appliances in general, just not in the examples shown above (shudder). Lisa's example is ok.
