Anyone have dark pulls on their dark cabinets?

If anyone has used dark pulls on their dark cabs, can you please post a picture?

My cherry cabinets are stained very dark, kind of like a baker's chocolate and I'm leaning strongly towards getting ORB pulls. I will already have lots of contrast in the kitchen, with light counters and lighting. I'm totally loving my main light fixture which is a combo of ORB and white etched glass and would like the pulls to reflect a little of what the light is doing.

Am I the only one who likes the look?

This isn't my kitchen, but I have dark cherry cabinets with dark (I think they're ORB) pulls.

I think it looks nice and we thinking about doing the same, maybe even using dark wooden pulls. Has anyone else done this and if so, could you please post a pic?

This may not be the style you want, but i thought this was an interesting use of a partial dark backsplash with dark cabs at Home Depot. The tiles are the little tiny brown mosaic glass sheets they sell there. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Thanks for the suggestion. Only the opposite end walls, plus about 42" will even need paint. One exposed wall is about 5'w x 8'h, and the other is about 122" w, but 69" w of that is a double window. Oh, and there will be a small amount of about 12" showing above and an inch around the window over the sink. The backsplash area will also be painted for now (tiled later). What I suppose would be the more safe route would be to paint it all the medium tone and then after the cabs are in I can punch up the 5' wall with the deeper color if it needs it. Hmmm, now that I start talking about the space I realize that this wall will showcase a piece of artwork. I haven't done the painting yet, but I'm planning for it to include some brighter colors so perhaps the darker paint on that wall will end up being a good backdrop. Thanks for getting me thinking of alternative possibilities. ;)

Segbrown - Love your kitchen and your pulls, and your tin backsplash! Wish I could do another kitchen with cabinets like yours just so I could do the orb pulls. =) Josie - I really do like the look of the orb on the dark cabinetry, good for you for being brave to post your pretty cabinets and hardware despite the "orb is dead" posts, which are completely fair and I love when people state their opinions with resonance!! I think the white counters break it up though, whereas my desk/pantry area is a sea of dark with nothing to break it up. What I forgot though is that when I put things in the open shelf and even right on the desk counter, the things pop like nobody's business which is great and makes the chrome hardware stand out less. Case in point....the green apples, silver clock and pink grapes. I love how they pop: RM - Articulate and savvy RM! Good point about all the other metal that we have in there. Did I tell you we had trouble finding the table? So we're still stuck on what time of table to get. Glass would work so well, yet it's not fun to eat off of glass. I'd prefer a wood top for sure. My finished kitchen photos will come one day...I'm glad our uppers are up. The backsplash will be in in no time, along with the crown molding. there was an issue with the chair fabric so we may have to wait until mid-Feb to get them. The drapery fabric is also on backorder I believe - who knew it was so hard to get fabric??? I may do an "80%" post just for you though... Okay, I am content with the chrome pulls again. Had a momentary bout of insanity. I also don't want my kitchen to be done, I have too much fun on this forum!!! None of you hang out at home decorating, just a few of you on bathrooms. I should start a new post - Which forum do you visit after your kitchen renovatin is over???

I'm getting my cabinets quite soon from a small Toronto company. Their cabinets use traditional iron hardware that looks great on the darker stains (though I'm getting a slightly lighter one)

I managed to find this picture that I could link to. The standard product pictures you can't seem to get the address because of the zoom thing.

We do too! Love ORB...Apparently you aren't too alone. Buy a few, hold them up to the cabinet, then decide.

Yup, I have ORB on dark maple. I also have ORB light fixtures with etched glass!

What excellent taste you have! :>)

This is the only picture I could find that had both pulls and fixtures

well, i'm so glad i'm not the only one!!! thank you all, your cabs and inspiration pics all look wonderful. anita, didn't you just start your kitchen? can't wait to see it. suz, your cabs are close to my color...it's great to see how pretty they look. just showed my husband and he likes it too!!! yeah!

We have cherry cabinets with and espresso finish on the island and we did the same knobs as on our cream color cabinets.

btw - I have straightened out the right knob since this picture - looks much better.

We have medium dark cherry cabinets and decided to go with the dark pulls. We prefer the darker look with the cabinets. We have received lots of compliments on the pulls.

We purchased them at Lowes after spending hours viewing pulls online. The pulls are 5" while the rectangle knobs are 2 1/2". I like the fact that they only project out 7/8". There also was a pewter color available.
