Tonight at Home Depot I put a Schluter brushed metal tile edge against it and was surprisingly pleased with the result. Comments (7)Thanks so much for responding. Is this due to a technical reason or just aesthetics? Also, is this a personal preference or an industry standard? After I posted the question, I saw other posts where PRO responders (how do they get that designation, do you know?) mostly recommended the tile ending at the edge of the cabinet and not extending. Comments (5)Your first photo shows an outlet, not a switch. If it can't be moved to the left, leave it where it is and hold the backsplash back a couple inches from the cover plate. The fact that the backsplash doesn't go all the way to the end of the counter won't matter....See Moredavidro1
