White quartz counter tops - staining?

Sorry if this has been asked. I'm wondering which white quartz countertop is most stain-resistant. If you have white quartz, please let me know which one and what your staining experience has been.

I have a friend with Caesarstone Pure White, and she said it stained in the first month. I'm looking for the most uniform / least speckly white, but I'm willing to go for some speckles if that means more stain resistance. I'm looking at polished, not honed.

I have had Caesarstone Blizzard counters for a few months now. Yes, occasionally something will leave a "stain" that doesn't immediately come up with a swipe of the sponge, but a little Softscrub with bleach takes care of everything.

I have Pental lattice, it reads white but has some very fine caramel veins if you look up close. I have had it 2 months now so not long, but have not notice any staining and with moving in the the house and all I have not kept things as clean as I normally do and things have sat on it over night. I cleaned up some blueberry syrup that had dried on there. A smear of grape juice. My husband sat an aerosol can on it that had rust on the bottom and that came right up. So far so good.

Quartz is an engineered product and should not stain at all. But you could still ask for samples of the counters you are considering and subject them to testing.

I have a kitchen table from Room & Board that has a white quartz top. It does occasionally stain with ink, pencil, colored pencil, etc. Normally I use a homemade cleaner with water, alcohol and blue dawn. It gets everything out for me. I did have one stain from the magnet on the back of my phone case which came in contact with water. I used bar keepers friend and it came right off. I am only left with a small mark that was on the table when it was delivered (we were out of the country and someone else received the table and didn’t say anything to the delivery men). It appears to be a small ink mark. We have been able to dull it slightly, but haven’t been successful at removing it. I will try the greased lightning suggested above, and maybe diluted bleach as a last resort.

Fisrt thing you need to determine is what your counter material actually is. Laminate stains very well may not come out (bleach products may remove the color completely) and would be treated completely different than, marble or granite or quartz or solid surface. All may require differetn steps and or processes. Pictures would help as well.............................

I have a question for you guys. Is it too outdated to have a cointibayoon do the quartz for the badksplash(only the 4inches) without having to add any other back splash? I worry about making my kitchen Look too busy and having a hard time matching colors , so i was hoping to just install a quartz counter top with that extra 4 inch lip without doing any other backsplash . That is assuming my counter top isn’t too bland . Also, can I get away with a gray? What about the Silestone calacatta gold ? Are the speckled quartz outdated ? Thanks! My floor has to be changed because it’s got a lot of holes and pkaces that are showing the underneath black rubber. it also has stains . My dream is to have white cabinets , a Taupe counter top(warmer gray like), and wood floors . If calacatta gold form Silestone , Bianco drift from Caesarstone , cambria Torquay , or viatera “sol” would work with white or warm cabinets , I’d pick one of those maybe. It’s a small kitchen, and I don’t have a huge budget .. but I do want to make a big enough change beginning with the counter tops that were never sealed properly, flooring, (and our back wall behind the sink that needs to be replaced ) . I have Ceasarstone organic white in the kitchen and two bathrooms. It was all installed in January and there are no stains at all (and we are not neat cooks).

It's ground/crushed quartz in a polyester resin base. If I look close on my Pental Botticino, I can see very fine sand particles that bring the color. There's nothing to hold a stain. However, quartz can be affected by ultraviolet rays, so I would probably not put a white (yellowing) or a dark (fading) in a sunny window. Talk to your fabricator about that. We had a remnant which they stored outside for us, but they told us not to wait longer than a year to install it.

Thanks for the info! I actually tried searching again and found a lot more threads about the subject. Must not have used the right terms before. Sounds like Softscrub takes care of most stains, but heat can be an issue.

This is an old thread, but I'll stick this article here in case people are searching for info. It's a staining and cleaning test of many varieties of manufactured quartz. Softscrub is okay if you have a light touch and don't scrub too hard.
