How to get email notification of activity on post(s)?

Is there some way to receive an email notification of activity on one's post(s) if you did not check the option when you first submitted the message?? It's the only time I've seen the "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you." Once you hit "submit" it goes away.

Thats the only chance you get to select that box. You also have to have this enabled on your profile in order for it to work. Even if you check the box, it won't work unless the profile settings allow it.

Did you click on the e mail message in your box, then open the forum from that message? I did it for a message I just received and it has the "If you wish..." in the email response section. Sorry you are receiving so many e mails. People must like to talk about garbage! Karen

Hi zzackey, You posted on the other thread about us being able to message one another now, without having to 'follow' the member and vice versa,. You found your profile page for getting set up for members to be able to message you, but you still don't have a message link. Here is the thread...Traders -> Now ANYONE can message you! I thought you might like to know. ADDITIONALLY , you will probably want to turn on getting email alerts whenever you get a NEW MESSAGE. On the same Advanced Setting page as noted above choose EMAIL NOTIFICATION...(when) Someone messages me...EVERY TIME. I know lots of folks changed a lot of their settings to receive notification on many or all things to NEVER, rather than get way too many emails. I set up a HOUZZ folder within my Hotmail, and all HOUZZ emails are sent there directly, so they don't clutter up my inbox. That way they are all together. Sue...rbb

Not getting notifications of updated threads

I have never requested updates to any of my threads.....but then I don't start many :-) However, if you go into 'Your Houzz' under your profile and then 'activity' you will see recent updates to any threads you have either started or contributed to. Although I participate in a lot of forums, it is not a big deal for me to remember which ones I have posted to and/or are interested in with regards to others' responses. I review them daily until I get bored or a new topic comes up :-) Does that not work for you?

I don't have mine set to send notifications of my posts, but email notifications are crazy. Mostly I get them, but occasionally I get a notification sent to an email address I rarely use anymore. I think I did use that as my email before it changed to Houzz, but it is not on my settings now. And occasionally I don't get notifications at all. Plus, I have had a couple of people tell me I need to sey up to message, looks to me like I have, and I certainly get messages from others. But I am technologically challenged.
