Thanks numbersjunkie. DH got alot more done today then I thought. A little overwhelming. Once the subfloor gets leveled things should move pretty fast. DH has to shaved down some of the rafters to even out the floor. New floor met old slanted floor.

Our blue vitex aren't blooming (they are the older ones) and the leaves are beginning to look "fallish". The white vitex are greener and one has buds on it (but it backs up to a brick wall). We have had a LOT of rain, and cool night temperatures. That may be affecting our older vitex, and as beachplant said, your problem may be weather related, also.

What does your window look like over your master bath tub?

Well, you sort of have to use your imagination with this photo. It shows the tub location with a moderately sized window right over it. Widow is second floor and overlooks a lake, it's totally private. Put a pleated window shade over it, I think it's Hunter-Douglas? It's a top-down, bottom-up, which is great in a bath. If privacy was a factor, you can use the "bottom-up" feature to just have the shade cover the bottom half of the window, so you still have privacy while still maintaining a bit of the view and a bit of the natural light. House I designed and planted all the plants and shrubs myself. Of course I needed a big truck and manpower for the two trees. My old rescue girl. Back yard and the "BOSS" Foyer to game room Area Front porch, steps and walk way diy bricking is done,the cement area below is now a bricked step. Next the back porch and patio. The picture you have seen a thousand times. Living room you have seen a thousand times. Miles of nature preserve for walking,biking or horses just around the corner. A mile down this path leds to a state park with some great kayaking and canoeing. 12 minutes to the beach And, since I'm shameless...this 4/3 house on 1 1/4 acre is in P.B. County and will be up for sale in a year or so. I best get a better camera and let someone else take the pictures lol.

Hi, all I have used Garden Web for years for remodeling, never thought to use it for quilting/sewing. I am widowed now, and have 2 bedrooms, one slightly larger than 11x15, serves as a sewing room/guest room. Currently, I have a duplex bed w/frame taking up lots of wall space. My family are all out-of-state and can't visit very often. Perhaps once a year single or couple friends visit. Bed is used only occasionally. I have inflatable queen and twin size mattresses (a couple of years ago, had the family down for Christmas). I'm trying to decide whether to a) lose the bed and rely on inflatables; b) trade the bed for a double or queen-size bed which would gain some wall space, or c) deal with what I have. The room will be repainted soon; there's a very pleasant view outside the window, so the sewing machine stays there. Opposite the window wall is a closet, and a small wicker vanity on a short wall. A wicker dresser (partly seen in pic) and the entry door is opposite the bed wall. I'm left handed, so it's cut, stitch, press; from left to right. I'm looking for a better table/cabinet solution for the area, but this works for now. I'd love room for a 36" cutting table.

Very nice. I see you like the rustic look. :)

Couldn't resist! I can understand your feeling overwhelmed. Especially when you're DIY. But how fun to see the progress and know that changes are coming. Good luck to you! Take lots and lots of pictures and keep us posted on the progress. My kitchen is pretty much done other than needing paint.

Oh good luck! I always was so thrilled with the demo stage (no patience here) and conversely, irritated when it took DH so long to start work on the latest project. I've actually stopped asking how long it will take....

I am struggling over the backsplash (8 mo after working kitchen in place) and have just picked out the backsplash tile, the pantry tile and the mudroom tile. PHEW!

Today is an exciting day for this DIYer with a small galley kitchen.

DuraSupreme cabinets installed enough that I can call for template of the Cambria!

Drawer #3 missing in the far small drawer bank, it is the only cabinet drawer front or door that I was not happy with and I am taking it back to the KD tomorrow when I order the counters.

Cambria fabrication is running 5 weeks in my area. So I will install and align the doors and leave the kitchen to get a bathroom functioning in this renovation. Then come back and install my Marmoleum and get the appliances in and wait for my counters.
