Well, you could just use a fitted sheet over the box springs. You'd still see the feet of the bedframe, though. It depends on how you feel about that.

what size is the bed ... mine is queen and I just buy a king size spread. Comes down far enough to cover. OR cover the box spring with a fitted sheet.
Is it the "ruffle" in the dust ruffle you don't want? they do have boxy dust "ruffles".

It is a king mattress - although covering the box with a sheet may work. I may have to try that and see if that look works for me with being able to see the frame below.
If I don't like that, I guess I could get some sort of box built to house it. I really didnt think about it before I purchased the headboard, but I'll figure out something that works. I think what I don't like about them is they just feel like they are dusty and dirty and I prefer the bed without the dust ruffle and yes, if I get one made I think I would prefert he box pleat kind as it seems a cleaner look. If you are looking for a bedspread that comes to the floor for a king bed try looking on Pem America. The "French Tile" bedspread is the only bedspread I have found anywhere that comes down well past my high mattress to the floor (it's huge 120 x 118). I think an average size king spread/comforter/quilt is around 95 X 108. I just bought the cream one; it looks like a nice quality transitional quilt. It hangs nicely on the bed. I'm in Florida so the only thing I can say against the spread is that it is much warmer than the thin-ish spread appears to be on sight or by feel (it's not skimpy though it's a good weight). You might have to google French Tile bedspead to see the many colors, each site seems to have some different shades. Once in a while they come up on Overstock for $69 or so, the regular price is $149.
