Comments (7)We had the same dilemma. When I ordered bullnose tiles, I thought I was clear with the designer in ordering bullnose on the short side. When I got them, the bullnose was on the long side. I came to learn that this company does not make bullnose on the short side. So, the suggestion was to either not use bullnose at all or cut the tiles long ways and use them that way. Because our glass liner is not bullnose, if we made it go to the end, it would have not matched the field tile bullnose ends so we did it a bit differently. I would have preferred the liner to go to the end though. I felt that had we not used a bullnose end, it wouldn't have looked finished, IMO. Our splash is not grouted yet as you can see and paint touchups need to be done. Of course, we'll be using a narrow wall plate cover since the switch is very close to the edge. When our door curtain is pulled over in it's regular position, the edge is covered anyway, not that it looks bad showing. We still have light rail molding to install to the cabinets as well....See MoreWhite or ''Stone Look'' Subway Tile Backsplash
Comments (18)oy! i made about three trips between the store and my apt. today with samples. they had the same pattern as my floor tile in a jerusalem gold that blended great with the granite. but in the end, it seemed like too much pattern and that glossy would look better than matte. i looked at crackle, also, in white, off-white and tan.couldn't find the right tone that was both crackle and bevel, so went with plain biscuit bevel; it is close to the paint color on the window wall. the texture of the bevel made more of a difference in the look, than the pattern of the crackle, so that is how i decided. plus, i'm fine with the lower maintenance option. :)now i have to go exchange all of my outlets and covers, which i bought in white........See MoreGiallo Ornamental Grnite & White Subway Tile Backsplash?
Comments (10)Sorry to hijack - harriethomeowner - too funny! I'm scrolling and I think "oh, neat. that's the same splash as mine. wait a minute. that IS my backsplash!" LOL! I am laughing that I can recognize the pattern of tiles. :) I was glad to read it's a mock-up and I'm not going THAT crazy yet. The section that was used for the mock-up has a little higher proportion of blue in it than it should (even though I was mixing the lots like crazy). It will look great with your granite!...See MoreAlternate backsplash tile needed
Comments (1)No suggestions, but I think "ABB" is hilarious (I was once ABD... hahah!) I also just had a baby nine months ago and am about to endure my first ever remodel. Much smarter to do before baby, I am sure. Perhaps with pictures I might have suggestions, but I'm definitely a newbie with no reno experience in this forum, so probably not....See Moresjhockeyfan325
