Is there a zero radius SS sink less than 10 inches deep?
Comments (7)http://www.terrylove.com/forums/showthread.php?35380-Need-a-good-quality-sink there are links to a couple that are less than ten inches deep (height). It is extremely easy to weld metal to make a zero-radius sink. Stainless or copper or any other metal. The rounded sides and corners are what is hard to make. In practice....See MoreIs there a zero radius SS sink less than 10 inches deep?
Comments (22)I'm not sure if there's any major advantage to a zero radius sink. I bought the one that I have for a several reasons. First, I like the way it looks. Second, the bottom is flatter than most sinks, so there was less chance that wine glasses set in the bottom would accidentally tumble and break. Third, at the time that I chose my sink, there weren't many choices for a really large single basin sink unless you went to a zero radius model. I don't know if it's stronger than a stamped sink, and frankly I don't think it matters. Either type would be perfectly adequate from a strength point of view in a residential setting....See MoreIs a 10' deep sink too deep?
Comments (7)From what I read, the deeper sink is less of a problem for short people than for tall since tall folks have to bend over more. I find that to be true with my short but deep utility sink in the laundry room so I was worried about buying a 10" deep sink (which appears to be std for good economical sinks). However, I haven't had a problem with the depth yet and I'm 5'8", not extremely tall, but.... In any case 10" is ok for me....See Morecounter height window bumpout, how deep is too deep?
Comments (16)Lol, at the belly flop mental image! Ok, if I have to ask my DH or contractor to measure my armspan in relation to the kitchen project, they are really going to lose it, they already think I am crazy enough! I get it though, and its a totally practical concern. (Little Fishies, do you have irregularly long arms?!) My contractor did say he thinks they can frame it in to get it a bit less deep, the carpenter will know more. Justmake it, your window is beautiful. Your cabinets look great too. Are you going to have casing around the bump out? Are you putting uppers next to the bump out? I'm trying to decide how much room I need to leave next to where the bump out starts before I start a cabinet. I'm going to check that out on other posts showing these windows. Little Fishies thanks for posting that. When it comes time to order I'm sure it will be helpful. Thanks again!...See Morenorthcarolina
