Help with tile supplier? Found backsplash - finally!

I'm hoping the Kitchen Garden Web can help. I am almost complete with my renovations and have spent months trying to find a tile that fits with granite and style of home. I have finally found the tile, but not sure the supplier. My granite is mascarello and I love this simple travertine brick look that looks aged, etc. Does anyone know the supplier of this tile? I have tried, but no luck. Thank you so much!

Well I don't know about the supplier for /that/ tile, for that you could contact the design company from your screenshots.

However if you are just looking for a golden travertine mini brick mosaic then you can check out this link:

Hi. Thanks for the fast post! Appreciate you taking the time to locate those and post. I guess I should of posted that I tried to contact the site and the designer is no longer with them. The tiles you have posted are lovely, and I have seen these online and in store (same website too!). However, my heart is set on the locating something similar in the linear pattern and historic brick color. This is the exact look I want after 4+ months of looking. I'm thinking this is close to a 3/8+ travertine random mixed linear (brick) pattern. I understand it will be very difficult to find as I have searched in stores, online, Canada, etc - hence my post here. Dekotile had something similar but its too dark.

Definitely. That style is a bit like the one on the Rachel Ray set, though not the same color. (And, needless to say, your kitchen is nothing like hers.) But if you want to kind of squinch up your eyes, you can use your imagination. Glass tile obviously comes in a lot of sizes and finishes -- that little glittery type to big glossy ones, so you should be able to find exactly what you want. Those look like they'd both meld well with your greenery-yallery hallway. Just don't get too hung up on matching. Go for "complementing". I think it's a look that mixes well with a variety of styles. It's just modern enough. And, not that you need reassurance, but I think it's masculine. It doesn't scream "my ex picked this out!". You're getting there.

Thanks - I guess I just need to set something on top of the counter so I have a line to caulk under and not just in front of the tile? I need to set something on the counter as a ledger to do behind the stove anyway. I don't want some of my tiles sitting on the counter and some slipping behind it - you can see last tile on the left I propped on the counter leaned against the wall, the one next to it actually slipped behind but stopped - as I get closer to the sink (to left) the gap gets wider and I was afraid I'd lose a tile if I placed more for pictures!

Wow. Can I just say wow one more time at your granite? It's crazy. Can you please share it's name and source? It reminds me of a painting, really... great. Anyway, for the backsplash I think you want to not distract from your granite. White subway might be just fine because it is so mono-chromatic and not terribly eye-catching. I think that I would avoid the tile that matches the wall color, just because it be odd to get a 'near-miss' in terms of color and texture. The white glass in matte or shiny though might be an alternative to the subway. Either way I would suggest getting samples and putting them up on your walls, I know it's changed a lot of peoples minds about their backsplash. And one more time about the granite: wow.

mariofo no it isn't crema marfil, it is a natural stone called pearl honed. The picture actually shows the tile to be a shade lighter than what it is in person. The tile place is recommending a color called straw which is a little dark. I wan't to keep the backsplash on the light side and was looking for a color a little lighter that doesn't have a grey or pink cast to them. How did you do the test the day before on extra tiles, did you mix and put some on the tile??

This might work.... I was looking at the 12x12 mosaic strips. They have a brown, white and yellow travertine.

Try www.jeffreycourt.com and look at Chapter 9-pietra opus-honey onyx mini brick sheets 12 x 12. I really liked the ones posted by brickton. Good luck!

Thanks Annettacm and Chris45ny for your time, posts and suggestions!!! Your suggestions are beautiful! I ooh'd and awe'd on yours and Brickton! I really hope to find the above tile in the picture, because this is THE ONE. :) I LOVE this detail, linear pattern, random, mixed color, how it looks historic, like terra cotta tile. Fingers crossed I can find something very close. Happy Friday!

Thanks for the suggestion Brickton, I ran across that tile and searched to see if they have any any close to what I am looking for. What I really love about the tile in the photo is that it looks like historical bricks (like the design, style, dimension, cut, mix of colors, w. an updated linear design). I'm not ready to change gears just yet. I decided to target Toronto tile stores near the Toronto Cabinet maker in the picture. The Cabinet comany didn't provide any help and the designer is no longer with them. I've also reached out to some Toronto designers. I have been all over to the tile stores, etc., This search has been a long one. Fingers crossed someone has run across something like this.. same dimensions, detail. I just love it. Wish me luck and THANK YOU again!

Finleygrace: Are you sure that what you're seeing isn't the last one Brickton posted? Maybe your eyes are a lot better than mine or the original picture you're looking at is larger, so you can see more detail. But it looks pretty much exactly the same to me, except that in Brickton's pic it isn't grouted. That may account for the difference you're seeing.
