The ones I saw in showrooms over the 18 months I looked were beautiful. I saw both small and the super single "installed" and both looked great. In showrooms, the sinks were shown undermounted in the counter material similar to how a real kitchen installation would be. I didn't get the black hole vibe from them. I was planning that color when I thought I'd get Bianco Antico granite or similar.

I have a similar color scheme in my kitchen. Basalt slate formica countertops (dark gray/black), alder cabinets, oak floor. I chose to do the Silgranit Super Single in anthracite, and I love it. IMO, anthracite looks great with dark countertops. I'm guessing with quartz you would undermount the sink? With the anthracite it would pretty much just disappear into your countertop. Stainless would look nice too, but since you are asking about silgranit my vote is for anthracite! HTH.

It would be better for you to choose your granite first. Perhaps you might find the Cafe Brown Silgranit ends up looking good, or the anthracite, or any of the other colors. Why do you want to pick a sink color before picking your granite color? If you are worried about lead time for getting the sink, we bought our Silgranit sink from qualitybath, and it arrived 2 days after we ordered it. Having said that, we have the anthracite silgranit sink. The anthracite/black shows nothing. I have read on this forum that the white and biscuit silgranits don't stain, and are easy to clean. Nevertheless, when you scrape spaghetti or whatever into the sink, before you get around to cleaning it, it will be more obvious against a light color sink than it would against a dark color sink. Not sure if that would bother you or not. Regardless, I would still wait until picking the granite to choose the sink color. As to the sink shape, you said 40195--did you mean 440195, the Blancoprecis Super Single? Except 440195 is 33" wide, and you said 30-1/2". Well, if you did mean 440195 which is the rectangular model with the corner drain, it will not be a problem to reach the faucet. We have the Blancoprecis which is 17" deep, and the faucet is no problem, and I have short arms. You need to pay attention to the reach measurement of whichever faucet you choose. Some of the high arch faucets have short reaches; if you are concerned with reach, avoid those.

I've seen the anthracite with granites in the brown/cream range with just a bit of black flecking, and it looks very nice. But have you seen the new brown silgranit? A dark, warm color that I think will work really well with stone from the brown family. Haven't seen them in person yet, but someone posted pictures here that were very impressive.
