Check out places like Target who are known to offer almost identical copies of PB items. King size is often available but measure to make sure of whether you really need a King or Queen.

For the bookcases and shelving, check out the Ikea Billy series. They come in white. There's a wall shelf in the line and the shelves that go from one bookcase to another.

For the duvet, measure what's on her bed now. Then compare with the measurement on the PB one. Could you make it work if you added a white or blue tailored bedskirt? Would the duvet at least cover the bed frame?

dilly dally - That site is great! I'll get the stickers from there for sure. PB wants $50 for their set--yikes! I'll see if my daughter likes the bedding there, too, or the plain sheet with fabric paint idea (which I love).

camlan - I just started looking at Ikea last night. We have one about 2 hours from here, so that's a possibility. I think we could build those base cabinets ourselves and add something above them. As far as the marginally-sized duvet, the skirt is a good option to cover the boxspring if needed. Her bed actually is a cherry wood frame with sleigh headboard (no footboard), so I'll paint that white and it will look good.

You could also just buy the carcasses of ikea kitchen base cabs, since everything is alacarte there, and add your own molding.

Instead of spending $$$$ on stickers you could just cut circles out of Contac® paper. They make removable Contac® too that is activated with water and just peels off. I think they call it 'shelf liner'. There is also the sticky removable type too. It really does just peel right off when you want it to. I use it on my kitchen and closet shelves so I can vouch for that. Circles would be easy to cut, out unlike the vines and leaf designs, wall applications they sell. Or just use plain, solid color, wall paper, and wallpaper paste to make the circles for the wall.

Since you say you can sew, consider doing the circles on the duvet by sewing on applique circles instead of using fabric paint. You could buy a plain white duvet and either iron on, or stitch on the circles.

Instead of trying to build the base cabinets, I would look for some nice solid cabinets on CL and remove the doors. Ones like these can be bought for a song.

Top them with some cheap bookshelves. (CL to the rescue again!) Bolt the shelves to the base to that they don't topple. Paint the whole thing white.

You can also bring in the circle/bubble theme by using those round paper lanterns hung in the room.

Instead of trying to find a rug with circles like the PB one, just use a round blue rug.

If you design your own duvet, this give you the option of designing curtains to match.
