Ye these guys do take time to adapt, so dont be too worried. Like I said, I brought my plants from Salt Lake City who's humidy was at about 10% to Port Elizabeth, South Africa whose humidity is between 80-100% (94% at 4am). You would think that the plants would be happy to suddenly get all this humidity with all the stories that are told. My plants did not pitcher for the first month, they had good water, great light, great soil mix. After that month though, they are pushing out plenty of leaves and pitchers. Remember that CP's get extra nutrients from bugs, just like you getting extra nutrients from vitamin tablets you purchase. But you dont have to get those tablets to live, you can live by eating normally alone. Same story there, it is carnivorous but it is still a plant after all, they make their plant sugars which they need to build from Water+Light=Photosynthesis. So as long as its conditions are right while its settling in you should find that it will start pitchering just perfectly in a while. In the early spring, I ordered a plant on ebay (an orchid) it was supposed to be in bud and the picture was of one I wanted. \\I know this isn't daylilies, but maybe people should be warned about the 'feedback'. My plant arrived, it was green, had a decent root system and a bud spike---would you believe the poor little thing was 1/4" long! Also, the whole plant was LIMP, as of today the whole plant is still limp. Well, I off to the feedback area, I wrote pretty much what you see above. I received and email from someone (not the seller) asking me to change my feedback!!!!! If I didn't, I wouldn't be allowed to buy anything else on their auction. How about that! In the meantime, I might as well toss the poor little limp plant in the trash, I don't believe it will ever be any different. Incidentally, I have grown orchids for nearly 30 years. Kay

You can buy every type / brand model faucet on ebay or online in general these days... so, it's not the sales / distribution channel that determines whether or not the faucet it garbage or not. It is the brand... and ultimately price that does. From birth we've all heard the saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." And nowhere is this more true than plumbing and lighting fixtures. I've been building new and renovating old houses for over 25 yrs and I can assure you--as someone who has bought, installed, replaced, and returned countless faucets and light fixtures--that you get what you pay for in construction. In fact, I rarely use anything but Kohler plumbing fixtures anymore--since (a) I have never had to replace one and (b) they have an extremely generous warranty and repair parts policy--though they are generally on the more expensive end of the spectrum. Without exception, any cheap, Chinese made faucet that you install will have to be replaced within a very short time period if it gets any regular use. And it will be difficult if not impossible to find repair / service parts for it. As opposed to Kohler, for example, which supports their products virtually forever. So, you not only have to consider the up-front costs... but the long term costs--and the very real potential for damages that a cheap fixture that fails can cause in your home. Unless you're a handy-man / DIY type--who can install, replace, and repair your own plumbing--these legacy costs will easily be more than the difference in price between that cheap foreign knock off and a good Kohler fixture. And Kohler just makes better looking stuff anyway. If you can't find a Kohler product that works perfectly for your project--you're doing it wrong. They avoid cliche and short term trends--opting for a more classy, classic product line up--that "ages" well stylistically. But they have beautiful options for all segments of the style spectrum--from neo-classical / traditional to ultra-contemporary to industrial. All you have to do is pick up a Kohler faucet in one hand and pick up a cheap knock off in the other to notice the difference between them; the Kohler will likely weight twice what the cheaper faucet does. And that extra weight is more brass and thicker, better plating, etc.

The auction page does state something about clicking "here" to read their terms and conditions, and on that T & C page it says, "Regarding part numbers: Depending on stock availability, we may occasionally substitute items to facilitate quick shipping. These items will be made by the same manufacturer as the item you ordered and will work the same in every wayÂwe guarantee it. The part number of the item may be different, which will not affect itÂs functioning. Please do not bid if this possibility bothers you." This disclaimer allows them to ship something other than what it pictured or described. However, it doesn't say anywhere that the item (featured or substituted) may be used, but it also doesn't state that the item (featured or substituted) is brand new. Only that it is manufactured by the same manufacturer that made the automobile for which it is intended. It is "OEM" -- Original Equipment Manufacturer. Having said that, this auction does tend to lead the average person to believe that the item will be new. As I stated in another thread about an eBay auction, the eBay headquarters are in California, and eBay sellers are thereby governed by the laws of this state. California Civil Code Section 1770 prohibits activities such as "bait and switch" and representing goods/services to be one thing when what you actually get is something else. This particular auction may very well fall into that, especially since the seller said that if you pay more money you will get a newer item. That's a classic bait and switch! If you paid by credit card (even if was paid through PayPal but charged against a credit card), contact the company and dispute the charge. If you paid through PayPal either by credit card or by a debit to your checking account, file a claim with PayPal that the item received is not what you purchased. And notify the seller that you will be filing a complaint of fraud with the Office of the Attorney General for the State of California.
