I don't really like the stainless mixed in, ok without it but I am not sure of the green granite with this combo... JMO

If they accent tile has any green tinge to it, I think it is an inspired combo. If not, it still would probably work because I see a peach tone to the tiles and counter. If you do the sheet of ss behind the stove, then the accents around the rest of the backsplash would be a very nice touch.
It is hard to see exact tones on a computer and it could be the camera making it hard as well. The basic variation of your counter stone and tiles is good. Neither has more, less or conflicting kinds of movement.

What were you thinking for wall color? I would try to find a pale green to tie in your counters if possible.

green granite with the cabinets or green granite with the backsplash or both? Or you just dont like green?

Should I go safe and go more netural.. maybe muted browns in the accent strip?

What about just 2 rows of the accent instead of the 3 if you are worried it's too much bling?

My first impression jives with peytonroad...I actually like the backsplash tiles very much by themselves but the stainless ones don't go with the other colors you've chosen. I think if the stainless tiles come out you're ok. BUT, do you have stainless appliances? Maybe then it would tie it all together.

The wall color in the first picture.. the green is the
room wall color. There ar eno peach tones in anything.. browns and tans mostly. There are a few green stones here
and there in the accent strip but they are overpowered by the stainless IMHO.

I'd love to hear more opinions/suggestions. I dont want to throw hundreds of dollars away on the wrong tile.

I don't think it's too much bling. I like it a lot! My only concern is that without seeing the field tiles right next to the granite, it's hard to tell if they are going to contrast or blend enough too look good together. Other than that, I think everything else really does work well together.

Ok, reading the other replies now,

I wouldn't reduce three rows to two. The point of the accent tiles is to have some impact on the design and break up the field a bit, right? So, if you are happy with that, go for it. If you're not happy with it, skip it altogether.

And I don't think you need any green in the accent tiles. The accent tiles are accenting the backsplash. It's important that the entire backsplash as a whole works well with the other elements. Green tiles would be fine if they were there but I don't see them being a necessity.

Especially considering you have stainless appliances, I think it will serve to tie things together nicely.

I like it with the 3 rows of accent.

What I don't care for with the accent tiles is how many stainless steel tiles there are and the uniform pattern to them. I wonder if it would look better if you popped a bunch of them out and replaced them with some of the other tiles in the strip. You could leave some of the stainless ones in there, but make them fewer, so they are a true accent, and more random. Of course, you'd have to buy extra accent strips, but it might be worth it if you liked the idea. Other than that, I like the colors together as far as I can tell from my computer.

I agree with Lowspark's first post. I like the stainless in the backsplash, and could see staying simple without any accent if that's your preference...But I'm concerned about the field tile coordinating and connecting with the granite. So hard to tell in separate photos and different settings.

I totally agree with kitchenkrazed09. I really like the combination of field tile and the mozaic, but the pattern the stainless makes is going to dominate a bit. However, I think keeping the stainless in the mix is great. I'd keep it much more random than the pattern.

I love what you have chosen. Everything fits together. I love the bit of ss small squares as they add alot. Keep 3 rows of it. Also the grout should be similar color to the tiles (less contrast possible) Make sure that your cabinet's "handles" are also in antique silver. It will look stunning.
About the granite, it will work with your green walls but I think a more warm green could be better. Nevertheless it will look great.

I like it. One suggestion that has become a bit of fixation for me: in the install, I would recommend having the subways directly above and below the accent strip be staggered rather than stacked -- as though there is no accent strip at all. When I see an entire backsplash laid out like your sample layout, there is something jarring about it.

I thought I saw green in your slab before but must have been hallucinating. You do not need green, but I thought I saw some.

I love everything but the granite with the tan subway tiles. IMHO they simply clash.

I'm going to throw a totally different idea out there that I thought of when I saw your beautiful Coastal Green. How about Grazia Rixi (it's a crackle subway) with a tumbled onyx accent. I'm not feeling the stainless. Your granite is so serene... I think the stainless appliances will give there own bling. This is from The Tile Shop:

From what I can see and how it comes across on my monitor, I really think it looks sharp! I agree with kitchenkrazed and the others about keeping the stainless, but making it more random. The less is more approach, as it were.

It's hard to offer a complete opinion with your countertop choice because they are not together to see how the tones complement the stone (or not in some cases ;^) ).

Absolutely *yes* to hardware that mimics the stainless accents!

Ok... now I see why I thought your counters had green.... the name alone is kind of a hint!

I still like your choices, but think I'd want some hint of green in your wall paint since it is not in the splash (again, hard to see color tones through a laptop monitor to be certain). If those do have a green tone, then the wall color can be anything pulled from your counters.

Remodelfla's choice is a really fave look of mine. It takes it in a totally different direction, but it is absolutely lovely while being calm.

BTW - since your counters have a lot of action in them, I would not do the mosaics behind the range.
