Camii41, I realize your last post was over a year-and-a-half ago, but I'm wondering if you still have any extra Never-MTs. We moved and left ours behind and I'd love to have one after our reno in our new place is complete. I'm thinking you probably gave them away but thought it wouldn't hurt to check. Thanks.

My good friend has Carrara marble in her kitchen which was installed about 15 years ago. She also use a portion of the slab as the top for the kitchen table which was used a lot as the family used it every day for eating and for gathering around. Her husband who is pretty much a pig cooks a lot and so there would have been plenty of stuff that was not cleaned up immediately. Nothing in the kitchen was babied in any way - I know because she and I were cooking buddies and so I would go over and we would put together joint dinner parties with a lot of messy prep work :-). There were also lots of gatherings with kids as well who were not particularly careful or restricted in normal kid behavior. There is minor etching in some areas but the light has to be right in order to see it but nothing that anyone with normal sensibilities would notice unless they looked. Kitchen counters tend to have things on them so you don't normally turn your head to the side and squint to check out etching :-). But no stains after 15 years.

Holly-kay- When I buy EO online, I buy it from Amazon. I've gotten good deals on multi-packs in the past. Michoumonster- It's the multipurpose household cleaner that I find so useful. It's really versatile--I have one dispenser at each of my kitchen sinks, and I have EO in each dispenser. I use it for both dishes and hands. It smells great. I like the peppermint for the kitchen. I'd also like the lemon, but I have marble counters and I'm paranoid about any citrus cleansers (potential etching). The lavender smells great, too, but I use that in the bathrooms.

Me too! I had never thought of this being a problem, but only 2 weeks into the house, and I've noticed a faint etched shape that is the exact shape of the foamy soft soap dispenser on our carrerra! Can you get rid of this etching? We've had other types of marble countertops before, adn this has never been a problem! May be we'll just stick with bar soap in that bathroom. I'm trying not to treat this house with kid gloves bc I want us to be able to let loose in this house, and besides, with 4 boys, this house is not going to be gently treated.
