I love the look of the darker colors too. This trend may be geographically located. In my area the sun is intense, high altitude with wide temps and dry. A painter told me the dark colors would not last through a year here. Original dark color fading quickly and require repainting on a continuing basis to maintain. I am not holding him to his thinking though. Paints of today have far better mediums than once used. A good topic for looking at different paints and their color retention. With darker colors becoming a trend, I would guess the paint manufacturers are on top of this. Although I wouldn't use this, wonder if the manufactured siding is going to show up in deep colors. Many of the metal roofs in the mountains are deep colors and do not fade. The the range of vinyl architecture details or fencing offered do fade or change colors though, depending upon their quality. Yes!! I have three, but I never knew what they were called. Mine are much more muted colors than the ones shown in the blog. I stumbled on the first one about two years ago at my favorite furniture and accessories haunt while vacationing in AZ. It was way overpriced but gorgeous and I had never seen anything like it. The saleswoman told me they were starting a sale the next day, and gave me the 25% off. Fast forward about 1.5 years, and there they were at West Elm, for a quarter of the price. I bought two, figuring I was "averaging down" my cost per quilt. A sound shopping strategy, right?? Here is a photo of one of the West Elm ones, over the back of the chair. The raspberry color is brighter and prettier than the pic shows. They're very soft and durable.

Sounds like you have the updated space, so I'm sure most of the colors you mentioned will look fine. Revere Pewter is everywhere, but it looks too tan to me (in my house). I would grab some of the popular colors and bring samples to your space.. It all comes down to your space, lighting, and surrounding pieces. I did BM's Moonshine and love it!

I urge you to contact some professional masonry restorationists before proceeding. Get some more info before doing anything irreversible. Where are you located - what you might be up against (as I was) is that your local tradespeople are kinda set in their ways and you might have to look beyond your immediate area for some different points of view. When restoring my own 100 yr old masonry I found the advice I received from https://www.limeworks.us to be invaluable and saved me from making big mistakes. They were so generous with their time - I sent them pics and remember spending quite a bit of time on the phone with my questions. Maybe you dont want to DIY the work yourself, but youd still want to know whats possible and what to look for in hiring a craftsperson to do the job. Off the top of my head - I know its indeed possible to match brick by expert use of color to match new brick with old (have seen it done around here). Using a mineral paint (aka potassium silicate) replicating authentic brick color is another possibilty - this is not modern plastic acrylic paint coating, but absorbs into and forms a chemical bond with old masonry to color and strengthen it - very commonly used in europe but for some reason hasnt caught on here very much. Anyway Id be so interested to hear what you find out!
