Need backsplash ideas with Bianco Antiguo granite
Comments (1)I'm sure you've already seen my backsplash tile. It's white handmade ceramic from Ann Sacks...goes really well with the Bianco Antico granite. Check our Mairin's kitchen too...she has a gorgeous white onyx. I've never seen Bianco Antico with cherry bordeaux cabinets...do the cabinets have a reddish tone to them? Sounds gorgeous. Comments (20)UKAlison--I think that the backsplash sounds pretty. I'm a sucker for marble though. But with that being said, and not seeing a photo, I can tell you from my own experience of testing marble with it, it was just too competitive with my granite. It's hard to explain, especially when you see my backsplash. Even though mine has an "oh wow" factor to it, it is essentially a solid color. And that is what still makes it possible to have the counter be the star of the kitchen. I am a very visual person. This might not make any sense to you. After your counters are in, go to the tile store, bring home some samples and see what you like. Take photos, post them, ask opinions. Make sure to get some plain subways too, even beveled subways. A beveled subway will help give the plain subway a little pizazz, something the BA deserves. You need to bring home all the contenders. Also look at different shape subways, 2x6, or even larger format ones. I hope my response isn't too confusing. Most of us go through what you are going through. Sometimes we find one in the store and are sure that it's the one, but then later realize it's not when we put the two together at home. Looking forward to a post from you later today with the counter reveal. Take photos during installation too....See Morewhat color backsplash with bianco antico?
Comments (7)Beekeepers... Another salivating member here. Your tiles are my absolute favorite in all of gardenweb. I found something similar on a blog. I contacted her several times to see where she bought them. Let's say... many, many times rather than several. She never responded. I'm guessing that she didn't want people to copy her or something. I kept doing searches for morrocan tiles and got actual moroccan blue tiles and such every time. Thank god for this site. Or, I would never have seen them again. Do you happen to know how much they were per tile? I'm a good year away from doing a backsplash. I'm hoping they will still have them then! :) If not, I may have to buy and store. Thanks! Comments (9)It's beautiful!!!! Check out this tile, it was actually one of our favorites until I decided to go the white route. Mandala Tile, Sinu Collection, Color: Stingray. You will not believe how well this works with this granite because it is not a flat color. Seriously, go find it and take a sample of the granite with you, or bring home a piece. Click on this link, then on "products", then "sinu", then any of the tabs that are below, the colors, the field tile, etc. (sorry, I can't link directly to it) Here is a picture from my collection: Here is a link that might be useful: mandala tile...See Morepkim212
