I have the Kohler stages which also comes with accessories. You will want either flush(zero) reveal or positive reveal if the accessories are meant to fit in that bevelled space, a negative reveal simply won't allow that. It seems you are already aware of that, but since my templater almost insisted on a negative reveal before I showed him the sink accessories just thought I'd add that. My templater also said that a flush reveal can be a bit more difficult to achieve than a negative reveal depending on the technology used. He used laser measurements, promised me a true flush reveal, then I had to have my super amazing contractor fix it after. It was off by a few mm but enough that my accessories didn't fit. I have soapstone, so it was an easy enough fix, but still irritating. That was one of many many many issues I had with my fabricator and I'm not sure my results are typical. I include it only as a cautionary tale. Positive or flush reveal would both be fine from the looks of your sink (pretty awesome btw!,) as long as your fabricator can deliver on your preference so I would be sure to discuss that with them. Be clear on how any possible mistakes will be rectified and you should be good to go! Good luck, hth mmhmm

Thanks, everyone, for your help. The reason we ran into this problem was that the contractor had added some pieces of wood over the framing, I guess, to compensate for how thin the Formica was. Because of everything else built around those measurements, we needed to find a way to make the counters 7/16" taller. After discussing with the guy doing the templating, he and DH decided to go ahead with the 7/16" pieces of oak over the original framing of the cabinet. I still wanted to wait until DH had the 7/16" wood was installed before the fabricating started, just to be sure I was satisfied with the look; but we're going ahead with it. DH is going to try to get enough of the wood added to the top of the cabinet frames to enable me to get a better idea of how it will look. After having seen a mock-up with a granite sample and a small piece of trim oak, I think it will look better than I originally thought. With the standard 1.5" granite overhang,I really had to look to see that there was an extra piece of wood at the top of the cabinets. This will definitely be better for the budget, too.

Thanks! I forgot to mention that with the island and desk area, I have 80 sq. ft. of counter top. Our budget will be around $6000, so we may have to go with cheaper surface on the desk and island (poss wood?) I know the goal is to do as few seams as poss, which is my concern. With the length of each run being over 125", it looks like I'm going to have more seams than I wish. The only way to do fewer would be to have one at the sink, which I'm uneasy about. I know this is a problem the fabricators will work out, I'm probably getting my cart ahead of my horse here LOL! Also, my cabs are white Welborn (spelling?) and I really like them. They are solid wood 3/4" shelving etc but my doors are "thermo foil" over the wood, which I guess isn't done much anymore. Therefore may be outdated, but they still look new and I don't have to worry about paint chipping etc on my doors. I want to change my hardware, light fixtures etc to update, as mine are all polished brass. If anyone in the Columbus/Caldwell OH area can comment on the fabricators, that would be great!

Okay, I'm not stalking you, but I love the color of your house! I vaguely remember you saying at one point that you chose one color for the entire downstairs of your house. I think I even remember the paint color. Moss something by Devine something. They don't sell that brand of paint anywhere near me, but I have a great discount at our local SW store, and they will paint match anything. I don't supposed I could send you have any old paint swatches hanging around? Is that too stalker-ish for me to ask? Also, I noticed that you don't have a prep sink in your kitchen, so please disregard my previous question. I also noticed that simplice has an "entertainment" size as well.
