show me your coffee mug
Comments (14)My cameras disappeared over 20 years ago - foster kid who was short of money suspected. But one was an old 35 mm. model that used film, so it would have taken some finagling to have provided you with my mug shot, even were it still here and operational. So a verbal picture will have to do. Daughter gave me an oversized one, about three years ago, that's about the average height, but bigger around, so it is reasonably efficient at preserving the heat. When I get absorbed in some interest, though, on occasion some time elapses between drags/sips/whatever you want to call it. In which case, some treatment in the microwave brings the contents back up to a condition that one considers appropriate. It has a desert scene, largely in variations of beige and brown, as a background, with large raised letters "A r i z o n a" in fairly large letters, darker brown, going pretty well all of the way around the mug. Some would only want the dark brown of unadulterated coffee within ... ... but my preference is for some sweetness (more than I have available on the inside) .. ... and some cream (being a long-ago graduate of the farming training school of hard knocks) ... ... so the liquid inside of my (exterior) mug is rather a beige colour, that complements some of that on the outside of the mug. As to what colour it may be on the arrival inside of my mug ... no one has ever investigated that ... but I assume it to be similar to the colour that it was in the (exterior) mug. ole joyfuelled ... with a little help from coffee, from time to time...See MorePlease show me your coffee/tea cup storage
Comments (10)I'm sorry, I don't have pictures. The freestanding cabinet started with diapers when we were small, and when I was about four my father painted it pink for me to put my abundance of dolly clothes in (my big baby doll wore my old baby clothes). It had a marble patterned laminate top with a corrugated aluminum edge that overhung the sides of the cabinet by about five inches all around. It wasn't a changing station. Just a cupboard, probably two feet, square with one shelf in it. My father either made it or repurposed it, and the top was half a table top or something that he cut in half. The other half became a table in my brother's room. My father screwed the cup holder pull out, to the underside of the top for hanging Tammy clothes. She was the Ideal company's college girl doll before Barbie the fashion model hit it big. It was great in theory, but the little plastic hangers were too lightweight, and they'd fall off when it was pulled out. It was very much like this one that's currently on eBay, but I remember the hooks being rounder. I don't know how James Bond it is, but it's retro and looks clean. :) When I was a preteen and got a desk, the cabinet got painted blue (traditional parents?) and was the base for my brother's photo enlarger in his bathroom which he turned into a darkroom. (Between the smell of teenage boy and photo chemicals, no one else ever went in there!) I think it spent some time in between under my father's bandsaw. His drill press is on the wood shell of an old Muntz TV. :) My brother still has both the cabinet and the table, but I think the cupholder/wardrobe rack is long gone....See MoreShow Me What's On Your Coffee Table
Comments (3)I love the mission style and would like to see your table in your room. I constantly change things around all the time. That's the fun of coffee tables. This is the living room coffee table. I keep my ming on it all the time. The bowl my son bought me from Mexico, specifically for the ming. The Asian lady is an incense burner I picked up at good will...I use it several times a week. The only thing I don't ever move around is the ming. I have it for about 8 years and it loves this spot. Sometimes I keep a burning candle on the table instead of the Asian Lady. This is the den tables...modified mission style :) The table on the left has our chessboard and the table on the right has our wood turning frog candle, an antique music box, and the book my DH is currently reading...The chessboard always stays, because we made the table tops in the same wood and finish as me made the chess board. It's a set, so to speak :) The right table never has the same thing on it from week to week, nor do any of the tables. :) The ol' hound dog doesn't move from that spot, cause he's under the ceiling fan :) Since I didn't have a slice of pizza to toss across the floor to get him to move, I've included him in the shot!...See MoreShow me your small coffee tables please
Comments (3)LOL Small coffee table in small room. I only put glass on top of mine. Kitty also considers this her spot. I use the trunk for added pantry storage. Keep the large bags of flour sugar and box of beer and bread machine inside.Gallons of vinegar and whatever over runs the pantry. I used to have this coffee table trunk in the dinning room. So now I have to walk 6 more feet to get to it for kitchen supplies once in awhile.Shrug. Works for us. For living room storage it would be good for games or extra throws books. Here is a link that might be useful: coffee table...See Morelala girl
