I have a one handle Grohe faucet, Grohe soap dispenser, air switch and a insta hot. I put my insta hot on the far right corner of the sink, so I don't think it would look bad with the oil rubbed bronze.

I'm right handed also and I put my soap dispenser on the left side on the main sink and the prep sink. The insa hot has been fine for me on the right. My main faucet handle is on the right also. It is what you are used to doing and what looks good to you.

a small segue.... has anyone else found an initial metallic taste to the water with the insta hot and did it go away with time?

I put my faucet in the middle of the sink with insta hot on the left.

I did not notice a metallic taste in the water with my insa hot. We have only had tea once since it was installed and it was so nice not to boil the water!!

I am not sure if it was metallic but it did taste "off". What I did was open the faucet until it was empty, then let it fill up again several times and it seemed better. After that I found if I wasn't using it regularly it wouldn't taste as good again, and I would use the water to boil pasta or something and the tank would refill and the water would taste better again. I think it needs some initial flushing, but also gets stale if you aren't using it much. By the way, works great for soaking pans, degreasing them, cleaning eyeglasses and getting the marshmallow off the long forks used to toast marshmallows over a fire. That marshmallow melts right off! And when I had a bad cold with bronchitis last winter it was WONDERFUL.
