I like that a lot, it is very warm look. I have noticed that color becoming more available in ceiling fans, I think it is an up and coming color that will become more popular. Sometimes ORB is so dark it looks almost black, I like the light color very much.

Love them. I would stick with your vision. I've been seeing more and more brass (including shiny) in kitchen magazines. I think the warm tones of the brass will look great with the wood island.

Sure, go for it. But how about adventuring right out on the leading edge with the true thing, real solid brass as itself? If it's not the leading edge again now, surely it will be before too many years are passed, especially with the increased world demand for metals making the old classics more and more expensive.

I'm thinking how lovely that finish will be with your copper sink ....

I'm one of those with a white cabinetry / white marble kitchen with polished nickel and I have to say, I LOVE it. But I was after something v. cool in feel: I describe the kitchen as "icy" and that's what I got!

However, the beautiful warmth from your copper sink would just feel wrong with the cool nickel / chrome finishes, and ORB (which I love too and had in a previous white kitchen) is close, but the hardware you found is so yummy!

Thanks--you've all been reassuring and have made me feel so much better. While I'm thrilled to have these decisions to make, I'm starting to seriously second guess myself.

rosie-I'm intrigued. Do you mean look for solid brass hardware? Any specific suggestions? I'll start searching, but there's so much out there and I've found it's hard to tell sometimes exactly what is what!

rmkitchen-I LOVE your kitchen and all of your choices are dead-on. For some reason, I'm simply not "feeling" the nickel/chrome for my kitchen. By the way, you're one of the key reasons I'm feeling good about both the marble and ordering from Grothouse Lumber. There's still a very slight chance I'll go with a dark brown granite, if it's exactly right, but I'm pretty sold on the wood.

It's lovely -- though you may have trouble finding a wide variety of comfortably-priced hardware in that finish. I'm thinking faucet in particular.

That said, all of your metals DO NOT have to be the same!

I like it, and I don't have any problem with a faucet being a different finish. I think you can get something cmplimentary. I'm thinking ORB for the faucet, but you may find something better than that.

A brushed bronze color seems as if it would match. I'm sure different manufacturers call it different things. Here's just one example

Yep-faucet is a bit of a challenge. Whitehaus has an antique brass finish in a faucet I like, however, I didn't want to spend that much. I found it for lower on ebay, but would really like to see the finish in person. Even the web pix are the copper finish, I think--although a copper tone might work if it plays off the sink the right way.

remodelfla--thanks for that link, a definite possibility. I love Bellacor, have had success ordering from that site in the past and am 95% sure that my pendants will be from them!

I love copper sinks! Cucina makes copper faucets, and they're not too unreasonable by gw standards. Cifial has finishes called weathered (a very dark colored "living finish"), distressed bronze, distressed nickel, and aged brass; any of those might look good with your sink. HTH.
