I love the marble top I received and it was very similar to the one I saw in a RH store. You can also purchase samples of the counter material online ($20 I think?). I will probably be purchasing some samples now (yes, after the vanity is installed) to test out soaps and find out what will or will not etch. I think a dark gray tile on the floor and white tile on the tub surround would be absolutely lovely. Personally I would use tile colors in the "cool" family (whites, grays, etc) to be in keeping with the cool colors of the carrara top. I will definitely post pictures when I am finished. Things have been a little crazy lately and I'm at about the 90% completed mark and am struggling to find time to finish.

I'm in the same predicament. I've chosen Huxley in Oak with the Auburn finish. I spent far too much time yesterday looking at counter tops that I can't afford. The counters I saw made from tiles had noticeable seams. I suppose that depends on the installer but I didn't like them. After looking at Corinthian Solid Surface Pyrenees series Tundra, I think I could be happy with that but for the amount I need, I probably will have to make a different choice. There are several I would take and if money were no object I'd have exactly what I want but since that isn't going to happen.........I'll have to pick something. The samples are so little it's impossible to see what it will really look like. My other thought was to get Formica with the beveled edge and upgrade in a couple of years. I will have a farm sink so that also creates its own problems but I've seen them installed above the counter height and I saw a display yesterday with Formica inside the sink hole. I can't wait for the new sink and cabinets many more years so I have decided to get as much of my dream kitchen as I can now and upgrade if I am still alive. It's so much fun choosing everything until I start adding it all up. Everything starts at $500!

There were some threads back a bit about OKITE which intrigued me greatly. I ran into the same problem- other than a 2 or 4" square sample which the company (think if I have this correct, the company is in Italy, the distributor in the US is in Texas?) sent me free of charge- I was not able to actually see it in real life. Someone on here, I think it was sue in ct? said that it was being distributed by dupont. I too asked at HD and Lowe's and no one knew what I was talking about. This was maybe 2 months ago. I was just at a fabricator looking at granite. They also have corian etc. I explained that I was not interested in corian because I am looking for the less uniform look. They showed me a gorgeous marble looking top on a table which it turns out was actually the zodiac. I finally realized it is what I have that sample of. It did look very very good, I must say. The only thing I can say is that it is likely going to be in more and more displays within the next few months. If you search on here about okite, that is the same product, but it seems that retailers are not aware of that name.
