Need help with challenging small kitchen

This kitchen belongs to an elderly relative. I have included a rough layout of the entire house. The kitchen has four doors and is really the center of the house. The Kitchen is 15 feet long (left to right) and 14 feet wide (top to bottom). House is an old farmhouse. Existing cabinets are nothing special golden oak but are in good shape. There are upper cabinets that aren't shown in drawing. Trying to figure out how to add some cabinet space and make room for a dishwasher (18" or dish drawer would work) with minimal disruption and minimal cost. The kitchen window is lower than counter height. Currently microwave is on cart in front of window. The brick chimney/wall is leftover from a wood stove that used to heat the entire house.

Elderly relative does not cook much. I have come up with layout below - raise the window, move sink in front of window, and put cabs down that front wall. Thinking that microwave could go above range to save space.

Any other suggestions are welcome. Need some help!
