Cabinet Modification Co - Metro Atlanta ?
Comments (5)antss - we are going from a 30" freestanding range to a cooktop and sep wall oven in the same space. Need to build/trim out around each to coordinate with existing cabinetry. From what we can tell it "should" work and we want it to look right. I have photos/specs etc if needed. Appreciate any ideas. Thanks!...See Moreneed help with cabinet modification
Comments (8)by notch you mean a full notch the width the cabinet wall? would I necessarily face structural issues by essentially expanding the 30" to a 45" cabinet? I was looking at this sink (which i guess i could get the 28.5" version, but that technically requires a 33" cabinet) Kraus Pax, 18.5" X 31.5" Minimum Cabinet Size: 36 in Sink Gauge: 16 Sink Length: 31.5 in Sink Width: 18.5 in Sink Depth: 10 in...See MoreWall oven microwave combo OR range with oven + under cabinet microwave
Comments (15)We have an oven/microwave combo (KitchenAid). If I could redo my kitchen I might do that part differently. I did not know when I designed my kitchen last year that microwave drawers were a thing. If I had known I might have chosen that with a built in oven instead. I do not dislike our oven/microwave however I do have concerns about the microwave breaking. The fan was actually broken when we installed it, and we had to get it repaired. So if something happens to it, I know we will have to pull the entire unit out to get it fixed which is more of a pain than just fixing a microwave. The other issue I have with it is that microwave is a little higher than I would like. We installed the unit 1.5" higher than they recommend (so I could have a 15" drawer below) and since I'm only 5'3" the microwave is a little bit high for me. Even installing it at suggested height would still leave it higher than the ideal. A drawer would be a nicer height most likely. I definitely like having a separate gas rangetop and built in oven. There are many reasons I want them separate, so a range was never an option for me. But I probably won't combine the oven and microwave again if I did another kitchen....See MoreModification of cabinet for microwave drawer
Comments (0)I am finally updating appliances in my kitchen. We have a 27" cabinet and the opening is 24" wide and 16" tall, which is too big for the 24" Sharp microwave drawer specs. I found the instructions on the Sharp website to add filler pieces to make it work. Is this pretty straightforward? I am hoping my handy DH can do this, because I don't have faith my cabinet guy will respond for such a small job - and I am too lazy to find a new one unless needed. :) Or if there is a flush microwave drawer that will fit the opening in my cabinet as-is, I am willing to spend more to avoid the modification. Thanks!...See Morehouseful
