We looked at this one, but did you check the measurements? It's actually a 28" deep fridge, which is why the capacity is so much higher than all the other counter-depth fridges even with the water/ice dispenser.

Kitchenaid makes a 70" tall counter-depth fridge that was our choice until we realized we could go with a 33" deep fridge due to some strange wall configurations in our kitchen. It's the same fridge sold under different names and different trims, I believe Jenn-Air, Whirpool, and others.

I can't comment on the FD counter depth, but I just looked at the Samsung Side by Side Counter depth at Lowes and thought it was quite nice. I think it was much closer to 24 inches in depth (I think the specs said 27 inches with the door). It was 24.1 cubic feet so I liked the capacity compared to some other CD models.

I just got mine yesterday so really can't make any functional comments yet but I like the way it looks. It takes 48 hours to start making ice. 24 hours to let it cool down then it seems like you train the ice maker.

Got it for $2219. The cheapest I have seen them at Best Buy was $3319 a local company beat their price and I bought all my appliances there.

thank you for the info. do you mind telling me where you got it from? also, is it a 237... or 238... model number?

and finally, i'm worried about the doors opening too far and banging into my wall oven handles. if you wouldn't mind, would you please take a picture with the doors fully open so i can see how far they go? there's no local place near me that has it on display, so i'm really in a bind here.

I was also thinking of this Samsung but the fact that it's 28.5" deep has me leary. This is only a few inches less deep than my otherwise perfectly good full depth fridge that I'm replacing so it doesn't stick out so far. kcboom -- assuming you have 24" deep cabinets -- a few more pics would be great to get an idea if it would work. My next choice is a Jenn Air FD CD but the cf space is less than the Samsung.
