Help me find cheaper source for these pulls and knobs

I found exactly what I was looking for at Restoration Hardware but they're pricey at $15.50 for the pulls and $9.50 for the knobs. I am trying to find them for a better price but I haven't been able to locate them anywhere else. I'm hoping someone has seen these and might know of another source.

I don't know where to find that exact pull but when I was looking for my pulls, I found that the hardware on sites like rejuvenation and restoration were usually made by other makers, so you might have luck on a site like myknobs.com. There are lots of online sites out there and a huge variety of pulls. The online sites ship to you directly from the manufacturer (so its not like they really carry all of those in stock). So if its out there, you can probably find it. That is a beautiful pull....

Thanks rexem. I actually started searching other websites and haven't found them yet but I will continue my search. If I don't find them elsewhere I will probably just splurge on the knobs and pulls. This kitchen is on a tight budget but I just have to have them.

I was going to suggest neenaslighting.com and circa lighting, but I see someone else already has. I got one of my fixtures from Circa (neenas carries Circa, also called Visual Comfort, along with many other brands). I got some of my lights from a company called Olampia. They might not have exactly what you are looking for, but they will make custom modification to any of their lights, at very reasonable prices. This is especially great if you have lower ceilings, because they can modify the height of any of your lights to your exact specifications. We even had a light that we changed the location we planned to hang it, so wanted to modify the height, and we brought it into their store, and they did it in a day or two. They are located in downtown NYC in the lighting district, and we were able to go to their showroom, but we also ordered lights from them over the phone, and they were extremely helpful. And amazingly quick! Also check out Gump's. I recall they had a few lantern type lights that were very nice, similar to the look of the second lights you posted. I came across this post and just wanted to add that in our old house, we had the cheapest of cheap builder grade 80's oak cabinets that were a terrible shade of orangish. DH, like a lot of men, has an issue with painting "the wood!" "You'll never get the same finish!" Well, actually, yes you can as long as you use a good oil based paint. But anyway...so we comprimised and picked up some "Liquid Sandpaper" from Home Depot or Lowes (can't remember which). You put it on with a rag, wait a bit, and then you can apply a new stain--though it should be darker or brighter (cherry) to cover whats there. It works by opening up the surface and allows the stain to penetrate into the finish...then after 2 hours it "closes" back up and holds in the stain. It took us all of a night to do the entire kitchen. We took the doors off and all the hardware of course to get the best finish on the door fronts. Total cost...about 30.00 with plenty of leftover product. And we too had what looked like "wood paper" on the sides of the cabinets but it took the stain just as well as other areas. I believe thats because the stain doesn't actually get all the way down to the wood, but rather gets encased just under the top coat. But I'm not sure, because it certainly looked like the cabinets had always been the new color--the wood grain was apparent and the finish retained a beautiful shine after. I'm not saying its necessarily a permanent fix but the ease and inexpense created instant gratification. And in our new house when we remodeled the kitchen...it was off-white cabinets or else! :) They are just so timeless...

Rather hard to see. Attached company has a lot of affordable hardware in a range of styles and finishes (they are a mail order company so they will be easy to get if you find something you like) . Also check the on-line catalogues of the manufacturers who made the samples you bought already (most stores can do special orders). I think RH's pulls and knobs are their own design and manufacturer so you may have trouble finding the exact same ones for less. In other words, they're not a rebranded Amerock or Schaub etc. If you absolutely have to have those ones, can you wait until they go on sale (a couple of times a year - usually 25% off). Also, you can call RH customer service and find out inventory at the outlets, maybe you'll find some at an outlet.

Petepiel after looking at hundreds of knobs on several sites (including Hardware Hut) I think you're right as I have not seen them anywhere. Thanks for the tips about the sales and outlet. I still have a month or so until they'll be needed so maybe I'll get lucky.

Lee Valley has some fabulous pulls.
these are similar but not in the shiny finish it is pg 64/65 of catalogue

What style cabinets are you putting the pulls on? I love the style just curious what your cabinets look like. style, wood, stain etc.

Hi Becky, the cabinets will be white Shaker. The style will be modern/traditional hence the modern knobs and pulls. So it will have traditional lines with modern accents and a pop of glam here and there. Thanks for asking : )
