Replacing center-drain kitchen sink with an offset-drain sink
Comments (9)Thanks, Vith. The goal is to gain counter space to one side of the existing sink cabinet, and I thought we might gain enough by shifting the sink cabinet as far to one side as the existing plumbing (inflows) allows. We may end up moving plumbing anyway, but we're on a tight budget so I was looking at less costly options. But if I understand correctly, you're saying the drain could still be in the center of the sink; is that right? I like the fact that an offset drain allows you to empty the strainer without removing, say, a large baking sheet from the sink, so I may opt for the offset drain anyway. I thought it might also simplify the under-sink plumbing as well....See MoreHelp with a faucet for an offset rear sink drain.
Comments (5)You have a shut off valve for hot and cold under the sink. You can adjust how open they are and make the "full blast" not as powerful. Will save water also. Useful for when the faucet puts out more water than what the drain can handle as well....See MoreKitchen sink with offset drain to the left
Comments (16)Sumod, I ordered Moen® Nori™ One-Handle Pull-Down Spot Resist™ Stainless Pre-Rinse Spring Kitchen Faucet Model Number: 87897SRS from Menard's online. My plumber told me to stick with only Kohler, Delta, or Moen, so I looked for the cheapest one in the style that I liked that was in stock. https://www.moen.com/products/Nori/Nori-Pre-Rinse-Spring-Kitchen-Faucet/87897SRS It hasn't been installed yet. The countertop templaters will be here the first week of May so it won't be long after that....See Moreproblem with large single kitchen sink with right off-set drain
Comments (6)My daughter has that type of sink. It’s a Kraus sink, I use it a few days a week when I do nanny/granny duties at her house. Her sink drains just fine- no dirty water or garbage on the left side. Perhaps your sink was not installed correctly or has a defect in the bottom of it which caused the water to flow the wrong way....See More500shap
