cabinet hardware dilemma

Our cherry cabs are 24 years old and have 6" antique brass backplates with 3 holes and a knob. In our remodel we kept the cabs, put in stainless appliances, replaced the island (cream color), portifino gold granite(brown and cream colors too) on all tops, replaced the micro and cabinet OTR with a wood hood(cream) and replaced the desk with a cherry cab with drawers. I was going to go with SN hardware but 6" backplates are hard to come by and I think they will really stand out on cherry. GC plugged 2 holes in 1 of my old cab doors for me and he did a nice job but the plugs are still visile and still a slight outline (color) of the brass footprint. I am considering just pulls with one hole plugged in the center or ORB hardware. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am not sure if you want the backplate or not but if you can forgo the backplate, Restoration Hardware has many 6" pulls to choose from.

Two options- If you can find hardware to use the two outside holes the plugged center hole will be less noticeable.
A backplate in antique silver with a matching knob or a brushed or sterling knob could possibly be an option depending on genre.

Because the hardware is so close together, I think it will look better to use knobs. Here is another example.In this example they used pulls, which is not to my taste. I would have used knobs on the upper cabinets and placed the pulls for the lower cabinet at waist level. I think it would be easier to use - no reaching to open the lower portion and more attractive. Here they used pulls on the upper and lower - all at a convenient height. The upper is a large bi-fold door, so I think they needed to use pulls to distribute the weight.

Seileen. Your tuquoise tile is main eyecatcher in your kitchen. Next is your range hood. That hood appears out of code to my eye. It is too low over burners. Typical is 30-36 from top of burners to bottom if hood. I am short but I think even I would hit my head on it. It is really big. So that is second big focal point. Third is your shelves and styling of items on the shelves. I do like the first knob and slim pull on your doors and drawers. Those are like jewelry in your colorful outfit. It is very pretty but a few tweaks will make it really amazing.

Thanks for the ideas. The spread for the 2 outer holes is 4 3/4", but the footprint is 6". So a pull with that spread, but with longer ends would be ideal. the other thing is I need them by 6/25!
Sabjimata - I may consider a 6"pull and have him plug all the holes, I had not thought of that:) It would be nice if the pull was thicker also to help hide the 3 holes, I will look at RH website.
dan1888 - antique silver is a great idea, do you know who carries this finish? Mostly I have seen Satin Nickel, Pewter or ORB finishes.
