You can certainly plan for a backsplash that will be the star. If you truly love this look, then go with it. I guess you realize that every crumb will show. However, with the black, crumbs, finger prints and streaks show. You are the customer, so you are right!

Recently Consumer's said that in testing Cosentino's Eco line for heat resistance it cracked. While they generally like these recycled glass countertop products they give them a poor for impact resistance and just good for stain resistance (after the crack they excluded Cosentino's Eco line from their ratings). Every material has its' weaknesses, this isn't intended to deter you from your choice.

aesthetically I think it depends on the architecture of the room. In a grand home with high ceilings, big windows, lovely moldings, the all white look is stunning. Mainly because the kitchen sits back and lets the architecture rule. People notice the windows.

In a medium/normal tract house all white can come off as less visually striking.

In a very modern home in can be good as well to achieve a very space-age monotone look.

If you like that look then go for it.

That's a beautiful counter. We've considered it ourselves. I think we will be going with the Hanson Specchio white, which is very similar, for the same reasons.

While quartz isn't perfect, it consistently is rates as the most durable and green countertop. (If Mike Holmes says he uses quartz, that's golden to us!)

We're doing espresso cabs, but white kitchens are beautiful, too. And with the recycled glass, you can do a lot of fun things with your backsplash to bring color to your kitchen. I think the spa green recycled green glass tiles are gorgeous with them.
