from your description, i think the bronze would look dreat.

Your photos help. Gorgeous cabinets, doors and granite! ORB seems too heavy a contrast but if you do get dark metal fixtures over the island it may work. Still, I see satin/brushed nickel a more harmonious choice for the pulls and knobs. Have you seen the crystal knobs used on the uppers? Might look lovely too in your kitchen. Have fun deciding and congrats on a really beautiful space!

Your kitchen feels rich and blonde to me, and I wonder if the ORB would just feel not-in-keeping with the beautiful theme in there .... I am leaning toward the soft, subdued brushed nickel. Now, I have glass knobs in my kitchen and I do love them!

Gorgeous kitchen! I, too, see brushed or satin nickel. I think they'd blend in well with the overall feel of the room. On the other hand, ORB would stand out if you'd like to make a stronger statement with the hardware. I wouldn't worry about clashing with the appliances...especially if you get the bronze pendants.

Beautiful kitchen. I haven't seen many with white glazed cabinets & a lighter granite. Looks really nice. I agree with the others. I think either would look good, but brushed or satin nickel would look better.

I agree with everybody that you really can't go wrong with either choice but my first though was also some glass knobs. Maybe mixed with nickel pulls. The orb would add great contrast which would also look lovely. I guess it all depends if you want them to blend or stand out.

Beautiful kitchen!!! Love it! I'm considering antique brass/burnished brass--NOT polished (not that there's anything wrong with that)--hardware for my white cabinets. Of course, I don't even have my sample door yet, so that could change a hundred times before I need to actually buy anything!

Another vote for brushed or satin nickel. I think it will keep things soft and unified.

What is the name of your granite? I really like it. Beautiful kitchen. I think the brushed nickel would look very nice. ORB probably would be fine too. i also like the idea of crystal--not helping, I know! Sorry.

Wow - the kitchen is turning out amazing. I love the idea of the chrystal knobs on the uppers that people are mentioning. The cabinet and the counters have such a wow factor that I could see going with the brush nickel finish so it doesn't take your attention off everything else. I guess it depends if you want the knobs to stand out more or not.

I think a lot of posters, myself included, read your description and thought ORB, but the pix changed minds! Your granite is really beautiful -- reminds me of sand dunes at the beach. The glaze you mention isn't showing up in pix (I'm not surprised -- my glaze doesn't either) but unless you choose a lot of darker accents, e.g. faucet and light fixtures, I'll vote with everyone else for brushed nickel. Polished nickel would look good, but not polished chrome -- you want the warmer tone, I think.

Just in case you're interested in more radical ideas, here's four: amber glass (RH has one with an ORB base, although you can find others on the internet), which I think would be the best of all possible worlds -- feminine, harmonizes with your granite, out of the ordinary; frosted glass; copper; or brass, which is allegedly making a comeback and which would look nice with your granite. HTH.

Thank you to everyone for the input. I'm now leaning toward brushed nickel. I also have to work on the backsplash, but I am 99% sure I am going to do an off white subway tile. I found something that has a bit of a handmade look to it, as opposed to the flat, symmetrical more modern looking subway tiles.

Your kitchen is GORGEOUS! It reads "soft" to me. Like blue... reminds me of sand dunes. Another vote for brushed nickel but I'd love to see some of that amber glass mixed in "gently" with your subway tiles.

Your kitchen is beautiful! My kitchen will be a similar shape, but on a much smaller scale. I'm having weathered pewter pulls on my creamy white cabinets. I do have a specific question for you, if you don't mind. What is the measurement between the tip of your pantry and the tip of your peninsula granite in your walkway into the kitchen?

ok, i really dislike brass and bronze with goldy tones, but in your kitchen, i think those metals would work perfectly; they'd pick up the gold tones in your glaze/granite, and also they'd push that 'old world' kind of feel you've got going. i would do antiqued bronze hardware.

but, honestly, almost anything would work. glass would be nice and elegant, brushed nickel would be nice too, as would ORB.

just go simple and elegant and avoid anything big and clunky. beautiful kitchen!
