What type of finish on knobs, handles, & lights in oak kitchen?
Comments (8)The last house we owned was built in the 90's by the previous owners and was very "oak" heavy. That reddish gold oak to be exact. Oak cabinets, oak flooring, oak trim, very large oak trimmed fluorescent light fixture over the island, and to top it off they had an oak dining table in the kitchen! Gold fruity hardware throughout. Anyways, we purchased new SS appliances with our wedding money and changed the hardware to Oil Rubbed Bronze which looked SO much better with the cabinets. The cabinets were beautifully done with a wonderful crown molding but unfortunately with the oak explosion in the kitchen they really went unappreciated. That being said, my vote is for ORB or black:)...See MoreHelp/Ideas for Kitchen Filter Tap and Cabinet Knob/Handles
Comments (9)Thanks Alice. I’ve been wondering if I can just do this. Only thing that bothered me was having a filter with only a 2-way tap would mean all cold water goes through the filter (rather than just drinking). Maybe I’d be changing the filter and lot and it would get expensive? Celina, they look great! But I should have said in the post that I’m based in the UK :)...See MoreHelp! Knobs or handles for flat panel and shaker kitchen?
Comments (9)I have much the same.... a combination of shaker and flat, although my kitchen is all white. I did pulls on everything and love the look. All of my pulls are horizontal as in the picture you posted, and my tall cabinets (fridge /freezer/ pantry) have 12" vertical pulls. As your picture shows, my pulls are not huge. In fact, I think some of mine are smaller than the ones shown (although I love the look you show as well!)...See MoreDeciding on kitchen cabinet hardware/knobs/pulls/handles
Comments (7)I’ve had knobs, and I’ve had pulls. Much prefer pulls on all cabinets. I like the uniform look, and pulls are much more ergonomic. Also, as pulls stand away from the door, the doors tend to stay cleaner. When we renovated our kitchen (almost 6 years ago), I installed all pulls (from Top Knobs), and am so glad I did....See MoreRelated Professionals
