We found a very basic, lovely lemon yellow 1x1 for the shower that would integrate into our vintage bathroom remodel and let us keep our original 4x4 wainscoting tile.

It was between $40 and $50 a square foot. This was basic, 1x1 tile!

Hi igloochic. I put Pratt and Larson tiles in two kids' bathrooms. For my girls, I used the Marine Life series; did a 12" X 18" mural in the shower trimmed out with the Victorian 2X2 and some 6X6 decos across the backsplash with some trim. I especially liked the octopuses. For my boy, I used the Pond Life big tile trimmed out with Victorian 2X2 and 4X8 decos across the backsplash. I really liked the water snake. The tile is very pricey! I kept it (relatively) affordable by using inexpensive field tile from other manufacturers. It looks great, though.

To give you an idea, the 2X2 Victorian was $1.21 each, the 1X6 SB-SBL1 liner was $10.46 each, the 1X8 snake was $31.82, a 4X8 deco was $40.92, and the 8X12 pond panel was $160. I used the handpainted watercolor finish with multiple colors. If you get all one color it will be much cheaper.

That pricey faucet you liked would fit in perfectly!

lol astrid! this would actually be for the rental :) i have a little decorating trick i do in the corporate rentals....a few very high end items like this tile, mixed with inexpensive field tiles :) astrid thanks you made me not afrad to call them lol!

Pratt and Larson tiles are gorgeous. I was at their Portland showroom yesterday...and I was surprised that their lead time is about 4 weeks...I thought it would be longer. (That was for their "basic" field tile....I don't know if accents pieces will take longer. I had P & L in two of my bathrooms and LOVED it. (I just didn't eat for a couple of months!)

We just used Pratt & Larson subway tile in our kitchen. It's from their Simple Solutions line, which is very reasonable. I think spending $$ on their decorative tiles for accent is money well spent: beautiful, timeless stuff. I like to stop in the show room just for fun: porn for the design obsessed in the best possible way!

i'll give them a buzz. i'm thinking of accenting the tile in the rental with some of these wonderful pieces, and doing a kitchen backsplash behind the aga :)

i loved their behind the stove backsplashes, especially the Athens and the vineyard themes. Too bad my kitchen is done :) I wonder how much these babies run for!

Good news is that they have a dealer downstate and my friend who lives there is about to start a kitchen remodeling.. maybe she will like these so I will have kind of connection :)

If you're interested in bas relief tile chickens, you owe it to yourself to check out Dunis. I blew my tile budget there a couple of years ago, but I don't regret it at all. Unfortunately, they never updated the "Animals" section of the website, but if you stare at the "Concept Boards" section while the picture changes, you'll catch a glimpse of some of the chickens. They have so much charm. If you email Sienna, I'm sure she'll email a chicken (or other) photo or two to you. (No, I have no business connection to the studio. I just love their stuff.)

Welcome to the Pratt & Larson Dreamers Club. Aren't they gorgeous!!! I'm trying to talk my brother into the pond series for one of the bathrooms in his cabin. But for me the P&L is just a milder complication of a Victorian tile addiction... I found a dealer at an Antique show on vacation and thus began the kitchen remodel...of COURSE you need to make a beautiful new home for your amazing and lucious tiles. Soooo then nothing else quite measured up to create framing for our little beauties. Pratt & Larson it is! Oh well - so what if your backsplash costs more than your 36" pro-style range : ) (We're actually mounting the backsplash separate from the wall so it's free hanging and we can take it will us if we move.)

I did find a place that will make custom hardware but so far I've resisted the temptation to have them make my favorite Eastlake drop pull in nickel.
