Cast your vote! Crown molding - same paint or different?

So this is a picture of the dentil molding that is original to our house. We are having our carpenter recreate it to go above the white kitchen cabinets, then continuously flow into the hallway, across the top of the new black pantry, and over a transom. This space will be open to view from the dining room/living room, which has this trim and paint color. But an arch (with the kitchen peninsula) will visually separate the kitchen and dining room. Should I paint all the molding trim (and basement door which is in the kitchen) the same color/finish as the cabinetry (or as close as possible - it's a Schuler white icing factory finish?) Or should I try not to match at all? What about the molding above the pantry? Black to match the pantry or white with the black pantry underneath? Would love some inspirational pictures - thanks!
