Bosch v. Frigidaire Professional appliance suite
Comments (5)I have the 800 series DW (SHE68E15UC) that I got about 2 months ago. It is extremely quiet and does a great job cleaning dishes. What I like best about it is the top rack for the silver ware. Every piece is separated and I put all of the same utensils next to each other which makes for a faster empty. You will read that some people do not like the European tines for the plates and glasses. Some feel they are too small. I have Pfaltzgraff plates which are big and clunky and have no issue loading. I also have the free standing French Door Fridge (B26FT70SNS ). This is something new for Bosch. After about 2 months I have no issues. There are 2 of us and we entertain often and love the output from the ice machine. We have yet to run out. It is also very quiet. It is about half as quiet as my old GE Profile SxS. I don't have a range though but I did get their induction cooktop which is my absolute favorite piece (NIT8665UC). This thing is amazing. Yes, I had to get new pots and pans (goodbye Calphalon, hello Le Creuset), but it was worth it. I love the stainless trim across the top and bottom, the way the 'buttons' are integrated into the trim, the ease of clean-up and the responsiveness of the system. Good luck with your decision making. It can be a bit overwhelming at times....See MoreFrigidaire appliances
Comments (1)its very hard to find a selection in a local store. If you want to know what frigidaire makes you should be combing through the AJ Madison website. They have all the Frigidaire Appliances. Frigidaire makes over the range microwaves & they now have the lowest priced over the range + convection. Every above the range micrwave comes with a vent. The best value is Frigidare. AJ Madison has a $585 Rebate on a stainless steel appliance package from frigidaire until June 22. Comments (4)The problem is larger than Frigidaire. A long time ago (1940 - 1980) many companies either made their own parts, or had the components built to their specifications. I call most of these 'manufacturing companies' - shadow manufacturing companies. They simply buy (outsource) most of the components, and assemble them into the finished product. A switch / fan motor / connector could be in any number of appliances - From Sub Zero - to the lowest Walmart brand. Another problem is China. They are capable of making quality items. What I have noticed ( dealing with Chinese manuf ) is that the initial run of an item is good - quality wise. However that quality can drift - the original manufacturer, may outsource to another, and never tell you about it. Additionally, there is a lot of corruption in China. Lastly, they're in China, not much you can do to them. For these reasons I think it's impossible to predict the quality for a line of products. It's now just a name plate....See MoreFrigidaire appliances
Comments (8)In my previous home I replaced all of the gross Magic Chef appliances the house came with with Frigidaire Gallery- gas range, dishwasher, mw and SxS. I loved them, they performed excellently. In this house I have just purchased the Frigidaire Professional line- french door, dishwasher, mw and electric range to replace the GE Profile appliances that were here when I moved in. I think I am going to be very happy, I hated the GE stuff. To be honest, I probably would have been just as happy getting the Gallery set again, but on vanity alone I went with the pro line because I liked the look better. This isn't going to be our forever house, but it won't be anything too terribly short term either so I wanted something nice but not super high end....See MoreSYinUSA, GA zone 8
