Is this a defective Blanco Silgranit sink? -pics incl

I ordered the Blanco Silgranit Super Single Sink in Cafe Brown from an online dealer. I got the sink today and upon inspection found a couple of specs(holes/pits, i am not sure what to call it) on the inside surface. Please refer to the pics. Should I be concerned? Should I request for a replacement? Did your sinks have any kind of surface blemishes/defects?

My Silgranit sink does not have any of the surface blemishes you are talking about. The color and surface texture is consistent throughout.

Was the online dealer a Blanco dealer, it should be covered if it is for replacement. About halfway down the link it has warranty info about surface imperfections....

No, I wouldn't accept that.

Please let us know what happens with this. If an online retailer is sending out 2nds, I'd like to avoid them. I'm shopping for sinks now. Thanks.

M Miller- when simply stating the facts, it is indeed repetitive. Scripted on the other hand? Which posts of mine have been flagged and removed? Perhaps those that introduced you to the word “trolling” or was or the email thread between myself and a Blanco Representative? My reviews, comments, and opinions will remain consistent because they are simply facts and my lack of presence in and around social media platforms is the result of having a life and career in the real world...one that does not require marketing low-end sinks with a fake identity. I really don’t care about you or your sinks and everyone who buys one will eventually see for themselves. Wow! Then you’ll really have your work cut out for you.

We bought ours from kitchen/bath/plumbing supply store that our contractor has account with (also purchased our Cambria through them as well and they coordinated the sinks and countertop delivery and installation). I felt the same as breezygirl: if there was a problem/defect with the sink, I wanted to have a relationship with someone who could help me. I checked the prices on Amazon and although we may have saved $100, we felt it was a small price to pay for piece of mind considering the total cost of the project.

The Homeperfect site is working today. If you think you didn't get what you paid for and you are concerned about durability, then I'd return it. The number on their website is 1-888-850-3999. (That might be a sales line; they should be able to give you a customer service number. Also there should be a number in the paperwork you got with your order.) If the description on their website didn't specify whether it's the I or II model then that wouldn't necessarily be a reason to return it (in their minds) but you also have the issue with the scuff mark that you could use as a reason. If the description did have a model number that's different than the model number on the box you received, that's certainly a valid reason for a return. I'd also call Blanco's customer service rather than waiting for an email response. Then you can have a live conversation about your concerns.

I've always ordered my sinks from homeandstone. The prices are competitive, though not rock-bottom. (I am on my 3rd Silgranit sink in 3rd house and ordered all three from homeandstone). The sink comes in the OEM box, which is inside another much larger box, and the space between the two boxes is lined with foam. The sink in this packaging appears to be completely inert, so that it would be difficult--even if the large box were to be thrown around--for the sink to be damaged. Also, the orders come within 2 days of ordering. I always phone in my order, for sinks as well as appliances or anything large and expensive for my kitchen. I like this better than filling out the online form. When I place the order over the phone, I get a real person, who can tell me if the item is in stock, and when it will arrive.

we got this sink from homeperfect. I will be contacting them for a replacement.

There is a lot of 'bubbling' on the undersides of the sink. Is this due to the molding process of this material?

Can someone please post some pics of the 'perfect' silgranit sink? It would be really helpful when I do receive a replacement.

What a great reminder to check reviews of the online vendor. There are definitely negative comments about homeperfect in cases of defects/misshipments. Based on those I will call my intended vendor (ajmadison) as if I had a return and listen to the response. I can already see from online reviews that I need to order with plenty of lead time.

Separately, I certainly didn't realize the cafe brown was so light, judging by the pictures on the vendor website.

Update!

We sent the pictures of the defects to the returns deparment of HomePerfect.com
After a week of talking with them over the phone, they sent me a replacement.
I could not believe my eyes! The replacement sink had the same defects as the previous shipment. I was furious! Now, I am convinced that this vendor is sending me 'seconds'.
I have sent the pictures of the defects again! I want nothing to so with this vendor. I have asked for a refund. They said that I have to pay shipping costs to return the item and that there will be a 25% restocking fee. Argued with them, got a shipping label (I have to drop the package off at UPS) and told them that I will not pay the restocking fees as it was not my fault. They finally agreed and told me that it would take 30 days for processing the refund. I don't believe it! Hope I will get my money back.
Others, who are looking at HomePerfect.com, BEWARE!

If you paid with Visa/Mastercard, etc, you can always do a charge back if they are uncooperative after you return it.
