Help! My unusual backsplash dilemna ...

Because of the structure of our kitchen, our stove had to be put at the end of the appliance run. Here's the dilemna:

I think that the backsplash would look better only along the back wall that is behind the sink/appliances. However, the wall which wraps to the right of the stove inevitably will get splashed while cooking. If we tile the small wall on the right, we'd need to tile the wall which wraps on the left. Do we live with the splashing and only tile the back? Or tile the side walls too? Everyone we've asked thinks it would look best with only the back wall tiled but that it could work both ways. Form vs. function???? Honest opinions?
