Tapioca and Villandry, Thank you for your responses. Do either of you use the Ventilation function (the fan)? It is supposed to stabilize temps throughout the unit. I have tried with it on and off, and when it's on, it may be a little cooler at the top, but also seems to increase temps a bit below, which of course makes sense. Villandry, could you check to see if your Stainless is magnetic? I know the 30" model is Made in Austria rather than Germany and has two compressors, which I believe help to stabilize temps. Just curious if they are also using a different grade of Stainless. Never heard of the Alcohol for cleaning, but I'll give it a shot. Unfortunately, I used the Neoblank oil that came with it, so they're a bit of a smeary mess. I don't understand my food smell issue. Seems weird that both of my 24" units would have them. Otherwise, seem like a good product.

Anyone have one of these? Free-standing only. Couple of questions. Do you have problems with excessive food odors? Do you have temps range from about 36-49 on a separate thermometer? (My refrigerator is set at 36) Food temps seem OK, checked with probe thermometer. I think the huge variation in temps is causing the smell. I have 2 of these units and they both have the same issue. This may have to do with the single compressor in each. All other Liebherrs have at least 2, but not this one. Stainless also a pain in the rear to clean and is magnetic - normally a good thing, but in this case, I believe it is a lower quality stainless they are using. Any others out there with this experience? Any 30" Free-standing owners out there who could comment on smells and stainless magnetic quality or ease of cleaning? Thanks a bunch.

I have a Liebherr 30" and they don't come with built in filters. You don't want one anyway. They are usually proprietary and very expensive to replace. There was a recent thread by owners of Bosch and KA fridges on the prices of replacing these filters when needed. My Everpure filter was cheaper to replace and last longer. You can put an inline filter at the water source to the fridge. I currently have a filtered water faucet at the sink that this is what feeds the ice maker on the Liebherr. The undersink filters are usually cheaper, easier to replace and can serve multiple purposes. Also the filters that come with fridges are usually basic carbon filters that don't deal with the actual water problems you may be having like Chlorine, VOCs, Nitrates, Hard water, Calcium buildup etc. Best of luck!

Hi @sprtphntc7a, I am considering to get the CS 2092 which is an updated model of your CS 2082. Could you please tell me if you have any issue with the two French doors of your Liebherr? I saw the CS2092 in the showroom and found that under most FD fridges, this model does not have a flap to close off the gap between the two doors. Instead there seems to be something magnetic inside and along the edge of each door which attracts each other to close off the gap. I just wonder if this magnetic mechanism works well enough to seal the unit and keep the temperature. Any comments you can share would be much appreciated.
