Sealed Vs open burners

I am trying to decide on what type of range to get and based on research, we've narrowed down to the Wolf 36" range with griddle. However, I currently own a Viking 36" with sealed burners and my major dislikes are the size of the burners as well as trying to clean the nooks and crannies. The burners are all the same size so the middle of the pan usually doesn't heat up at the same time as the outside edges so basically I can't use small pots. I like the open burners ofWolf because it has a flame in the middle of the burner as well whereas the sealed burners are more like the Viking. The range with the sealed burners has more features so I am torn between the two types - what are the advantages/ disadvantages of each? Is it a big deal?
