Poor natural light and paint woes! Please HELP!!!

I am having serious problems trying to find paint that works in my new house. We don't get good natural light in all but two rooms. Gorgeous oak trees surround our house, and while they are pretty, our house is rather dark because of it. I wanted to use pale grays in this house, but NOTHING is working. I've tried BM Balboa Mist, BM Nimbus, BM Smoke Embers, BM Stonington Gray - all look lavendar/purple!!! BM Light Pewter looks green on my walls. BM Collingwood looks like mud. I am at a loss. My favorite beige in our old house was SW Kilim Beige. It is seriously pink in this house. Clearly the bad lighting is making beiges look pink and grays look purple. So, what do I do? Have any of you encountered this? What did you do? I want light shades for sure. Do I try some pale blue/grays? Any suggestions for BM or SW colors would be appreciated. My painters can't get started until I find some pretty colors that look like they're supposed to!!!! Help!!!!
