curtain rod &curtain , does the metal color have to match?

So I bought the Merete White curtains from Ikea (because I paid a designer who told me I should buy white curtains so I found the cheapest ones I could).

Anyway, I picked up some curtain rods at another store and just realized they are not the silver color of the grommets. They are pewter.

Does it really matter? Is anyone going to notice except me?

They are going over very tall sliding windows.

I am so tired of home improvement and decorating I just want it done, I don't want to have to drive all the way back and pick another curtain or curtain rod : (

Pewter rods and silver grommets would be fine for me.

They're in the same color family. It will look fine.

Does anyone use those plastic shower curtain rod covers anymore?

Oh & Debbie, when you clean your shower/bath just turn the slit part of the cover to top and spray w/ a bathroom cleaner ( I use Scrubbing Bubbles) It seeps down inside cover and you're good. No need to rinse.

HI everyone, here are the pics to go with the sketch above. Appreciate any thoughts. As I mentioned, the fireplace will be decorative only- suggestions for that are welcome. The 60in TV will be going on the black console across from the fireplace. The piano stays in the room and I was thinking of moving toward the corner with the white console that will be moved possibly on the opposite wall behind the piano to hold all the music. Open to other positions for the piano. It was suggested that I add a couple of chairs and ottoman between the fireplace and piano area. There is a sectional coming for the left side of the fireplace (front side of house). Still need tables and lighting. The sectional is a small black/cream texture. The wall color is throughout the whole house that we bought over the winter and I'l like for it to change :) Curio not staying in this room,. Rocker can go as well. thank you

Sounds fine to me. Try them out and see what you think. If they look ok to you, then they are ok!

My curtain rings are a different bronze from my curtain rods. Not only that, when I decided to add more curtain panels, I could not find the same rings, so the latest rings are another shade of bronze, AND they are also slightly larger than the original. LOL

Not only are they not noticeable (at least no one has mentioned it) but I don't notice anymore. Really cannot tell when they are hung high near the ceiling, anyway.
