Interesting thread I have had this type curtain up in my kitchen for 5 years with a skinny rod because I cann,t seem to commit to how high or what kind of rod works for them. Mine are on a french door as well. Looking at yours I had a ah ha moment that was 5 years in the making. It needs to be high enought for the tabs to be above the window frame and not puddle. Anyone have anythoughts on the best rods for this kind of curtain?

I got the YNL shower curtain rod recommended above from Amazon (thank you @Sarah Pecor!) and found these shower curtain hooks in brass that match pretty well from Parachute. They have a nice weight to them and when I walk in the room to me it all matches. They don’t stand out and don’t look super yellow which is what I’ve been trying to avoid. I find that brass looks different in different lighting and also different in person vs in pictures. To me it’s close enough and I’m happy with the closeness to my delta trinsic champagne brass hardware. Bev, the Livex doesn't have a nipple. I'm thinking that can lights are the way to go. The reality is that it's not a big hallway and two 15" fixtures are going to overpower it. I thought a small pendant, like the white one I posted, would fill the bill of shedding light but not look too dominating. I want something simple, with a little bit of detail but not too much, which is what I saw in the last two pictures I posted. I feel that they are still a bit big but finding something smaller that looked like someone put some effort into designing, that just doesn't seem possible. And even when I search, ranking price for highest to lowest, I still don't find anything that matches that description in the size I need, even in the $1,000 range.
