Comments (6)Thank you for all the excellent options. I didn't realize that the B&W dotted bedding was so popular among different brands! One great thing about PT teen is their customer service I will say. They have a 30-day money back guarantee for any reason so I've decided to send back the duvet cover, sham and insert and they send a UPS truck out to my house to pick up their merchandise so no hassles for me--other than the hassles of receiving defective merchandise twice! DD likes the zebra sheets though so we are keeping them. I went ahead and ordered similar bedding from JC Penneys. It's a comforter and not a duvet, but I think that may work better anyway since it's not a big deal to wash a twin comforter in the washing machine. And with the money I saved over the PBteen bedding, I ordered an extra pair of sheets. The dots on the JC Penneys bedding looked smaller than the dots on the Walgreens bedding, though that was nice as well. And, mom2sethc, I love your room and bedding. That pattern was an earlier contender I had considered, but DD perferred the dots. Thanks for showing the pics of your lovely room. Once it comes in and I get the valances hung, I'll post some pics of her completed room. Thanks again everyone! Comments (27)if the support leg in the middle matches the rest of the bed, bring that into a paint store. they should be able to help you choose a matching stain or may advise on some other product. then go to an art store and find a really good quality, tiny brush. you'll want to apply the stain only to the scratches and not get it on the surrounding wood. practice in a less-noticeable area (you can quickly wipe the stain off before it dries). don't use those furniture touch up pens or crayons. they're crap. the ink in the pens fades to a completely different color over time (at least, the water based ones do). the crayons never seem to really fill in and can wipe off easily....See Morequeen duvet size?
Comments (6)A king size bed is 16 inches wider than a queen - to me a king size cover is way too big, unless your mattress is very thick. Ikea bedding is skimpy (hence the low price), and shrinkage is a problem. A 96 inch wide duvet cover hangs 18 inches off each side. Generally this works for all but the thickest of mattresses. 90 inch wide duvets are common, but can be too short....See MoreWhat size dimensions do you like for a duvet for a regular king size b
Comments (19)First off, I would not tuck the duvet or the quilt under the mattress. I'd fold the quilt in half, and have it end at the foot of the bed. Then I'd fold the duvet in thirds and place it at the foot of the bed as well. This way only the sides extend past the mattress top. Second I think if you use a 34" round mirror, you may want to center it and add something on each side. Like sconces or framed pictures. I actually prefer a rectangular mirror, probably slightly shorter than the dresser....See MoreRelated Professionals
