Thanks for sharing!

I have a feeling there are going to be some major good deals coming along in the next few months, especially from this sector of home-oriented stores. The RH/PB model is vulnerable to incursions from lower prices stores who can sell knock off styles at a much lower price point. And with the economy sinking...I foresee some bargains in the near future!

I agree with you Ann. Everything on Wall Street is selling at a discount. Main Street can't be far behind. I keep wondering who will be left after this rout.

Breezy, I have been so busy I have only been on here sporadically and didn't realize your Dad had passed... I am so sorry for your loss - only 18 days, not much time to prepare for life without him. My thoughts are with you. re: the stools I will link below what i went with. pricey so the 20% off was a big savings. i like that they swivel. DH asked for a stool with a back but I had really wanted to tuck them under the counter when not in use as every inch in this kitchen counts and I didn't want too much bulk. i ended up getting one with a back for him and three without backs - my set up is one stool at the end and three on the side so i guess it will be okay but i hope it doesn't look weird like they were out of stock on four of the same or something. oh well, after what you've been through how can any of us worry too much about these very trivial matters. HEADS UP: when I applied the code "FRIENDS" it did not adjust for the 20%, when I typed in just friends (in lowercase) it did remove the 20% , go figure. I placed my order: I had wanted a chrome covered plunger and toilet brush for the master, I ordered those also and my coverlet. Can't wait to get my order now. thanks again Beekeeper.

I was just in a RH store today, and I really loved the new look. I just painted a desk in their color slate and it looks beautiful. It may not be for everyone, but it makes me feel calm. Very much the style of Velvet and Linen Blog. Their home is so gorgeous! They have infused some color along with the greige. Here are some pictures of their children's study they just finished.I know they do purchase things form RH, and spice it up a bit. RH has some great classic pieces. They are pricey though! If I remember correctly, every November (a week or so before Thanksgiving) Restoration Hardware has a 20% Off coupon for "Friends & Family".

A lot of retailers do a "Friends & Family" discount about the same time in November (Ballard Design, Anne Taylor, Sephora, etc.)
